3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, - JUL 13, 2010
[2955-20100626] Tap. Fresh bready yeast aroma has mild citrus notes. Clear, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Bitter bready yeast flavour is quite hoppy and has a long citrus peel zest aftertaste. Medium bitter body. Interesting, great bitter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 illidurit (1300) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - JUL 25, 2011
Growler shared at the July Santa Cruz tasting. Pours a clear orange-gold with a fine white head. Aroma is super dank, pure weed with a bit of unripe grapefruit. Flavor loses that juicy potent hoppiness a little, instead tending more toward floral and citrusy notes. Decent malt profile, some pale and some caramel, a little sweet. Solid lasting bitterness and a nice palate. Some leafy herbal notes in the flavor and better attenuation would carry this beer a long way, but it’s still good.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - AUG 8, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Gold color with a thick white head. Big hoppy aroma with lots of conifer, dank grapefruit, and some tropical fruit. Medium malt presence with medium sweetness. Lots of dank grapefruit and pine flavors with a touch of mint. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. They really hit it with the hops in this one, and it would really be awesome if it were a touch dryer, but its plenty good as is.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Lock this motherfucker in ho! Nice nose of grapefruit, floral, and a good deal of piney hops. Malt base is lightly sweet and there for a nice balance. Pours bright golden amber, great frothy creamy head and wonderfully sticky sheets of lace. A great looking beer. First flavors are of floral and citrusy hops, light malt sweetness, a little grain base, big piney finish. Malt base provides nice balance, solidly easy to drink, quenching even, nice dry resins too. A really nice NW IPA.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 crackedmachine (301) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Pours a nice hazy orange with a foamy white head. Good hop aroma. Flavor of mildly fruit/citrus hops with a very nicely balanced and slightly sweet malt foundation. Does a great job of showcasing the hop flavor while minimizing the bitterness and maintaining a low ABV, making a highly drinkable, summer-friendly IPA.

Half pint at the brewpub. Aroma has plenty of dank Simcoe hop notes present. Also has some husky tannins and sweet floral hints as well. Fairly aromatic, but I would prefer a little more hop aroma. Transparent dark golden body with a medium white head and good head retention. Starts very hempy with lots of Simcoe. Becomes very sweet in the middle with fair sugary notes. There are some toasted malt tannins present. Finishes with a mildly spicy bitterness. I like the Simcoe notes, but it seems a little underattenuated and lacking hops.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jerc (5588) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 8, 2010
2010-06-26. Crisp golden body, nice foamy white head and lace. 3+ Lovely citrus aroma, intense grapefruit at first fades to a nice modest lemon and orange character. 8+ Flavour also has a very pleasant citrus character but more more mildly so than in the aroma, bitterness is surprisingly mild, and is actually borderline sweet at times, but gets more bitter as it goes on. 7+ Average but very smooth palate. Nice! On Tap at Raccoon Lodge, Portland.
Overheard at the bar: "For a strip joint Mary’s doesn’t have bad beer!" "...you don’t have to worry about other guys getting skeezy... like jacking off in front of your woman..." "I wouldn’t dance naked for $1! For the whole song!!!"

Tap @ laughing clam...clear golden body, white head that lasted for a while...lots of lace. Light aroma of almost grassy hops with some floral character and honey. Mouth is med-light with light Carb and a fairly dry finish. Flavor is honey up front follwed by a mild but unique blend of hops-noble, grass notes, and a long woody finish with pine and a touch of grapefruit rind. Needs to warm up...flavor was very disappointing when first served.

On tap at Raccoon Lodge Portland, Pours out a copper topped with a white head. Aroma rings of fresh hops floral and sweetness. Taste was long lasting bitterness on the citrus hops. A nice malt to help as the hops try to take over. Another tast one from the Lodge.
