COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This live NW style sour wheat ale is a special single barrel project from the blenders that was barrel aged for six months before aging on 200 pounds of fresh apricots for an additional nine months - 200 pounds of fruit far exceeds our goal of two pounds per gallon by more than 1.5 pounds! Aromas of dusty apricot skins and blossoms are present at the start. Huge, rich, tart apricots cover your palate and lead to a dry fruit finish with a cotton candy note. Close your eyes, it’s like drinking a fresh apricot. This is tarter than the Apricot Blend; this is blender strength!

Draft at sb. Pours a murky burnished medium amber with golden brown highlights. Dense creamy white head. Huge piercingly tart apricot nose, with intense lemon and white vinegar compounding the sharpness. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sharply piercing tartness on the mid palate, balanced by soft fruity notes for complexity. Great beer for sure.

(Growler) Pours a hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry, yogurt, apricot, and florals. Flavor of strawberry, apricots, and lemon with an oak finish.

On tap at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House in Portland, OR. (This was listed as Live Barrel Supracot at the brewery). Pale yellow pour. Aroma is surprisingly flowery with only a hint of fruit and is actually somewhat perfume-like. The flavor however is solid; bright apricot taste with a nice balance of tartness and oak. Not as fruity as Cascade’s Apricot in my opinion but still great.

On tap at the barrel house. Live from the barrel - pours a hazy amber with very little head. Big time apricot aroma and flavor - almost like a jar of fresh jam. Some sweetness and funk - woody and tart.
