3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Cascade Barrel House in Portland, OR on 29 May 2013. Poured a cloudy orange with a dense white head. Big fruity aroma, lots of tangerine and citrus along with some spicy notes. Deep flavour; soft fruit, sticky syrups and a nice balance of warming alcohol. Sourness sets in on the palate, but nicely rounded.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Vasili ! Pours a rich copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose is inviting with candied orange, stonefruit, sweet caramel some boozy barrel presence. The palate follows the nose with a bit more of a malt profile than expected... however that being said the flavors make sense. Nice spicy orange marmalade, juicy tangerine, soft apricot, there is some booziness but the alcohol is well integrated with the layers of flavor. Really enjoyable with lingering rum soaked fruit.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle In a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, white head. Aroma of citrusy fruits, oak and rum, some spices, a nice sourness, a little vanilla, and more fruits. Flavor the same with a great blend of everything. Average texture. A really cool sour with a nice fruit note.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Another beer I tasted last night with just an awesome nose on it. Slightly hazy light yellow pour with a white head. Sweet orange nose on this. Tart, but still complex, the rum really works with the apricot and sweet citrus.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle:   Orange hued straw, a bit cloudy, thin frothy white head, dies quickly, little lacing.   Tart nose, a little spiced rum, zesty, some tangerine and slight apricot or peach.   Very tart up front, bordering on sour, bright, lots of tangerine zest.   Backside shows some of the rum and apricot too.   On big swigs the rum dominates.   Very bubbley on the tongue.   I like that its not overly acidic, but its extremely tart and very dry.   Hard to believe this is 11%.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Finish is very zesty, as if you were to shave a tangerine.   Soft rum and apricot too.   Great beer!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared at Lightening Day. Thanks! Pours a nice deep orange golden hue, big orange glow, subtle haze but deep orange glow. Frothy offwhite head atop is a decent ring clinger, mellow lacing and small stick around. Aromas are vibrant citrus, orange zest, orange juice, apricots and lactic acidity. Lemons and yogurt, gentle oak and vanilla start to get involved. Some really prominent elements, some power here. Initial is lemony and orange, good sourness hits quickly, trailing out from there. Orange zest, juice, lemon and grapefruit. Touches of warmth, oak, and vanilla. Gentle warmth, rum is warm but not a ton of character. Firm lactic acidity, orange zest and gentle white grape, white peaches, apricots and nice lactic acidity. Some good flavors here, a bit warm at times but a decent tannic kick meets some really nice citrus zest, apricot blending quite well. This was a neat idea, not acidic or harsh like some of these can get, but it is a bit big and warm at times. Still, quite tasty stuff. One of the better blonde Cascade sours but a bit warm. Nice.
