COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This easy drinking NW style sour ale was aged in rum barrels for 20 months with tangerine zest, then blended with our Apricot Ale. Sweet aromas of tangerine and rum are the first thing you notice as you draw your glass near. A quenching sweet citrus, then rum spice take turns dancing on your palate. Rich rum spice and warmth lead to a lingering sweet tangerine finish like warn sand. Most rum beers only go to 10, ours goes to 11!

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Scott! Dingy tangerine, opaque and cloudy, fizzly head that crackles and flees. Aroma is pungent orange and apricot, fleshy, gushing and fruit, tart, some lactic acid, touch of oak and cotton-y funk. Mild alcohol presence. Taste is fruity with a meld of booziness. Some apricot, orange, and sprucy peach. Slight touch of dry cotton funk. Floral hints. Warmth in the back end. Crackly, snapping mouth feel, medium bodied.

Update: Another bottle thanks to Kevin. Same Project year as the previous rate (2011, I believe). This beer is getting better... Unless it’s just bottle variation. More fruit, a little more tartness, a touch more funk, & smoother overall with less of a commanding, boozy presence.

750ml corked and caged bottle. This is a nice one, almost like tangerines and cream with a blast of sour, super refreshing, could down a bottle.

Bottle via trade. 2011 project. Pours a murky orange color with minimal head. Aromas of peaches, citrus and oak. No rum in the nose. Taste is incredibly sour and lightly sweet. Flavors of rum, citrus, sour peaches, funky bedsores. Nice. Long puckering finish. World class.

Thanks to Nicholas for sharing this corked and caged 2011 project last night. Bottle slowly "gushes" (can’t call it gushing I guess if it’s so slow, but stuff definitely rose out of the bottle in ways it shouldn’t ... whatever.) Pours hazy gold with lots of white head. Aroma: citrus, spice, acetone, vinegar. Taste: surprisingly soft/smooth/sweet/nonabrasive considering the nose and ABV. So dangerously smooth and drinkable. Medium+ body, lively carbonation, creamy texture.

Bottle shared by Dave. Aroma of tangerine rind, lemon juice, and wine vinegar. Pours orange yellow and hazy with a nice white wispy head. Taste is orange sour patch kids, tangerine rine, apricot and a great lasting orange juice finish. As tart as any of their offering with a powdered sour candy mouthfeel. No sign of the booze.

Bottle... Pours hazy and golden with a fleeting, white head. I’m picking up loads of tangerine although it’s not an ingredient, lots of citrus peels and skins and an almost-perfume element. Full bodied with dancing carbonation. The flavor delivers heaps of alcohol, tangerine and a medley of citrus rinds and piths. There’s mild sourness and some light, crusty bitterness as well. Finishes tart and tannic with lingering tangerine peel. Bottle shared by landhoney!
