3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2012 project, bottle. Pours a clear copper color with almost no head on it whatsoever. Nose is definitely sour, with grape and oak elements really being salient. Taste actually isn’t too sour, and has a nice fruity bite to it, like a dry champagne. Really interesting.

Bottle poured into tulip glass. Pours a hazy gold color with moderate head but persistant carbonation. Aroma is predominately grape with some mild funk. Taste is reminiscent of grape drink with some tartness and light funk.

Cloudy gold pour. Aroma of muscat grapes, brine. Tastes the same with puckering mid sourness. Also some super saccharine sweetness in there. Very approachable.

Nice example of a sour...comes on very tart with tastes of cherry and citrus with oak and a hint of vinegar hovering in the background.

Bottle (750ml): Project 2012. Cloudy, honey gold with little head that dissipates and no lace. Clean aroma. Candy grapes. Lactic and slightly bretty but not animal. Dry to off dry, sour and not bitter. Fresh citrus and loads of synthetic grape flavor. Bright, rich and long. Clean sour and loads of flavor.
Lovely sour beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 19, 2014 Cork and caged bottle from Tipples. 2013 Project. Pours clear golden colored with some spritzy white head that goes away quickly. Aroma of slight sour vinegar, oak, grapes, citrus peel, and maybe even some Brett. Flavor is lightly tart, dry with some oakiness, and an interesting bit of grape sort of like grape soda rather than grape juice. Hmmm. Some vinous notes as expected. Medium bodied from the sweetness, but rather spritzy with the carbonation. Cascade managed to make a $31 beer taste like Dave Chappelle’s Grape Drink. Not drain pouring this since its not completely offensive and cost that much, but what the eff? Seriously what a rip.
