Sampled at the Barrel House. Hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma is laden with juicy white grapes and floral citrus peel. The taste profile was possible the most complex of any Cascade I tried, with interweaving grape, apricot and citrus fruit plus oak and wild notes adding to the mix. Tart finish. Lovely.

The nose of this beer is of the grapes, and bubbles like champagne. It’s nice and sour almost makes your lips pucker.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with minimal head. Smell is white wine/grapes, green apple, oak barrel, light tart, smooth honey sweetness. Now if your looking for a palate ripper, this is not it. The tartness is mild, but nicely done. Taste is white grapes, apples, mixed fruit (pineapple, tropical hints), oak, light lactic tartness. Palate is lightly carbonation with a fuller mouthfeel than expected. I really, really liked this.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Bottle: Semi-translucent golden amber color with a white head that fizzles to a collar quickly. Aroma is sweet grapes, lovely grape juice and white grape skins, and a slight touch of oak. Sweetness and mild tartness. Taste is tart white grapes and some sweetness along with it; grape juice, white and red grapes, mild oak, and just a very light touch of musty funk. Light oak and finishing grape dryness. Like a sour, slightly funky and oaky Welch’s grape juice. One of my favorite Cascades... Awesome!

Taste is so freaking good. It’s really two elements: that same lemony sour, and a relatively sweet white grape. But the two of them are integrated so well that I can’t imagine it being any better. Elegant and complex despite its simplicity.

bottle @ cascade + upright tasting sessions - thanks to all. pours hazy light yellow with a small white head, some retention and shy lacing. light phenols and acetic notes, white grapes, other fruity esters - apple and pear juice, light woodsy and oaky notes, spices. light acidity - more lactic than acetic. average to soft carbonation, light to medium body - oily, fruity and lightly acidic finish. seems a tad linear. enjoyed!

Pours a slightly hazy golden with no head. Aroma is grapey, fruity. Taste is also fruity, with some grapes again and green apples. Not too acetic and more on the lactic side which is excellent. Carbonation level is good, not too high and not too low. A pretty simple offering but it worked well with me.

750 ml bottle shared with Tom and chums. Pours a veiled orange with a short lived white head. Aroma is old, tart. Flavor is orange, tropical fruit. Tart finish. For some reason, I can hardly read my notes. Might have been around a bonfire when I rated. Medium body, prickly mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Good. Not great.
