Pours a hazy golden orange from the bomber with lots of bubbly carbonation but no real head or lacing. Aroma is both sweet and tart fruit, hints of peaches and white grapes, slight hint of oak as it warms. Taste follows, good sour start that falls to a nice sweet grape and vanilla notes. No hint of the booze, bubbly mouth that leaves a lingering stickiness. Solid, but not as awesome as I was expecting, let’s see how some age treats another bottle.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle sample at RBAG 2013. Gold with light haze in the glass. Fast fading white head. Nose has some funk and fruitiness, big grapes, some sourness too. Flavour is tangy lemons, decent sourness. Very dry end, woody and barrel notes are very nice in the finish. A very nice sour than drinks lighter than it’s abv.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear orange pour with thin white head.. Nose is like a Jolly Rancher. Sweetness, bretts. and very grapey. notes of Citrus, sour and grapey throughout. Smoothed a bit by the aging process. Light watery body. Clean finish.
Well-done, great with friends but wouldn’t want to drink a bomber of this by myself.

Big thanks to Graham for sharing this at RBAG 2013. White thin head with a yellow hazy pour. The smell is you guessed it..grapes! almost reminded me of welch’s white grape juice with sour patch kids dropped in..lots of sourness on the taste, but you get bits of sweetness as well, a crisp dry finish. Tasty,

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, shared at RBAG 2013. Quite hazy yellow, thick white head, sheets of lace. Very lovely grape-forward nose, Concord-sweet, with a powdery candy fun twist, undertones of stems and white pepper. The palate is interesting in that the prominent grape found in the aroma takes a backseat (or at least is better integrated) to very funky lactic sourness, underlying clean malts, with a mild acid heat deep in the throat. Just so good!

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear orange pour with a huge white head. Aroma of malt, funk and white grape. Sour citrus flavor with sweet malt accents and peppery yeast before a sour grape finish. Very tasty.

Bottle at Justin’s crib in DC. Hazy golden hue with expected foam for the style. Understated bittersweet sour aroma, not too strong though. Great. Just great stuff. Super sour, fruity, balanced body. Amazing, not much else to say.

2012 vintage bottle at Eulogy in July 2013. Started with a nice clear orange gold pour with a slight fizzy head but turned hazier and foamier with subsequent pours. Very nice full sour. Lots of oaky vinous notes. Chardonnay. Muscat grapes. Lemon pips. Shortbread. Nectarines. Has a subtle earthiness to balance against the sharper acidic notes. Perfectly blended. Felt a little yeastier as I went down the bottle but surprisingly no particular funk in the mix. Must have a bottle that has been kept very well and is near its peak. Tremendous!
