hazy caramel colored pour with nice risiing white head. Aroma is an interesting mixture between sweet tart candies and urinal cakes, some funk, reminds me of rabbid rabbit. Flavor is mildly tart, with grape accents, sweet tarts, smarties, alcohol is well hiddin, slight graniness in the finish then a lingering sourness. Nice body and carbonation. Not too shabby, but far from great.

Light bodied poorer with minimal head. Very lactic smell. Great aroma. Light sour fast with long grapey finish. Really good beer.

Bottle at Super Sour Sunday at Triple Rock. Pours a clear copper with a small white head that leaves pretty much no lacing on the glass. Aroma is a light funk and some chardonnay with some light yeast. Initial taste is tart lemon followed by white grapes and oak. A dry, tart finish with medium astringency. Light body. Medium carbonation.

750 ml bottle. A gift from a friend (Joel) for my 25th bday. 07.17.10. The pour was a light, golden yellow color with a thick head. A very well carbonated beer without being overly done. The nose here is white grape, Chardonnay tannins, sharp aged cheese, lemon zest, and oak. Taste was lightly tannic, light vinegar (compared to their Kriek or Cuvee), white grape, Chardonnay, oak (for sure), light sour apple, and lemon zest that finishes with another round of white grape. A truly delicious American styled sour. P.S. The people that rated this beer so low should rate it against other sours they’ve tried and not against what they like. How do you think beer judges rate beer? They rate it against the way a style is supposed to be presented. P.P.S. This is truly a great and refreshing sour and Cascade has quickly become my favorite sour ale brewer.

Reddish orange pour. aroma-vitamin C, fresh, tangy sourness, white grapes. Taste- this is an awesome sour. 100% in my opinion, this rivals any sour beer I’ve had. Intense sourness with a great fruity, not sweet, backbone, oak barrel, white grape juice. Complex and well-balanced. Taste is incredible.

Pours a cloudy light to medium brown with an off-white head. Aromas of asian pear and dragonfruit. Flavor is refined and well balanced with sour grapes, green apple, and a funky tart finish. Very refreshing an well balanced - a pleasure to drink. It does, however lack the complexity of other sour ales...

Shared by Tertons. Lots of wine grapes in the flavor. This one was very interesting and enjoyable. I think more time would round this one out quite well.

Wheat and malty aromatics; slightly impeded by tart notes. Clear straw colored with white head. Blackberry and spring fruit start and the sourness soon dominates. Slight bodied with faint carbonation. Enjoyable beer with a hint of fruit flavor.

750ml Bottle shared by SoLan. Pours a golden orange color with a white head. Nose is full of citrus, orange, sour notes, slight funk and get some tangerine as well. FLavor is sour at first followed by the lovely orange and citrus flavors. Get some earthy notes and slight sweetness which balances great with the sourness. Also a bit of funk in there as well. Nice beer.

Crisp and sparkly almost exactly a gueuze. Bottle pours a nicely carbonated pink/amber with just a ring of white foam and bare hints of lacing. Aromas of sour apple, tart grapes, and mild horse blanket. Quite sour, along the lines of a Belgian gueuze lambic, with plenty of wine barrel oak and just the slightest hint of strawberry-rhubarb . Not one of the most complex beers of the Northwest sour style, but rather, a very refined blend that is most enjoyable. Leaves your mouth with a pucker.
