UPDATED: OCT 29, 2014 Bottle: Semi-translucent golden amber color with a white head that fizzles to a collar quickly. Aroma is sweet grapes, lovely grape juice and white grape skins, and a slight touch of oak. Sweetness and mild tartness. Taste is tart white grapes and some sweetness along with it; grape juice, white and red grapes, mild oak, and just a very light touch of musty funk. Light oak and finishing grape dryness. Like a sour, slightly funky and oaky Welch’s grape juice. Awesome!

Bottle sample at a sour tasting at our place. Thanks DSG. Headless opaque blond-brown. Stinky, agricultural stink, funky aroma, very, very funky taste, yeasty, a little earthy and very sour. A little carbonated, very earthy finish.

Bottle shared at a sour tasting at kerenmk’s place. Hazy golden. Big vinous grapes aroma with wood, some lacto, and funk, a bit farty. Sour flavor with grapes, wine, wood, lacto, and an alcoholic touch. Medium-bodied.

Love this type, with big wine notes some fruity esters, some alcohol heat, mild phenolics. Plenty of barrel funk and Brett. Quad style defiantly comes through. Such a great balance of winery character and sour ale character.

Bottle, 2012 Project. Pours hazy golden, small white head that diminishes fairly quickly leaving a ring and some lacing. Aroma is straight up white grape juice, with some funk and oak underneath. Flavor is also very white grape forward, vinous, but not really wine like, really like welch’s grape juice. Oak notes are also prominent, lending some acidity. Light plus tartness, and just enough barnyard funk to keep things interesting. Lightish body, champagne like carbonation. Pretty interesting.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a cloudy yellow/golden color with a white head. The aroma was of grapes and sour fruits. The taste was of light sour grapes and a nice tart finish.

Sampled at ESBLS. Yellowish and very hazy. This is funky and very tart with all kinds of fruit. I get melons, lemons, and white grapes. Barrel funkiness along with the bacteria. Quite nice and very drinkable.

750ml bottle. Pours golden orange with minimal head. Strong grape and funk aroma. Taste some vinegar sour with dry finish. Pretty good stuff.

Nice light amber pour. Aroma is of very strong sour grapes. Flavor matches aroma, very well balanced. I’ve tried both the 2012 and 2013 and both are very similar (although vary a bit in ABV)

750ml bottle. Clear orange yellow in colour with lots of bubbles. The aroma is incredibly sour, lots of white grapes. Flavour is tart, lots of white wine, woody, citrus. Finishes long, tart, woody. This is really good, love the wine barrel beers. So tart, acidic.

75cl bottle shared. Hazy gold, thin white head. Lovely white grape and spice nose, lemon rind, peach, pear, light funk. Juicy grapes and peach in the taste, more tropical stuff, soured citric notes, something grassy, light spices and some herbiness. Sours out some more at the end, citrus takes lead. Juicy finish of grapes, keeps it from getting harsh or brutal sour. Great balance. Drinks far weaker than ABV. Very good
