COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wood aged Pale Quadruppel. Imagine a blend of Scaldis and Cantillon Pure Kriek. Forget it, there is nothing like it (yet). Vlad is shocking to your sour beer senses and taste buds, which do not understand that such a balanced delicate sour beer can be so drinkable and appeal to so many people while being extreme. But donít forget, it will still open a can of 10.6% whoop-ass on your ass after all the pomp & circumstance of what an amazing beer it is subsides.

A big light berry sour smell comes off it. Not a big sour but a decent tart comes off. A small boozy background as it warms. Good stuff.

2011 bottle. Golden pour. Aroma is lovely and subtle - some easygoing citrus. Taste is beautiful - lemon oak, lots to enjoy here though. Nothing jumps out crazily but just a great drinker. Has a lovely vanilla sweetness on finish. Overall really great sour here!

750 ml bottle at home. 2011 project. Pours cloudy dark orange with a tiny off-whte fine bubbled head. Nice carbonation level, soapy legs. Spicy oaky aromas, a little dusty, sweet peach lemon wine gum, a bit of pear. Medium body with loads of sweetness, sour lactic character coming through a bit but still ok, dusty notes coming back in the end as well. Taste is sweet peach, some malt flavours. This is a nice American sour I must admit.

Cloudy pale yellow. Bit of sour. Flavors are pretty mellow, especially for something over 10%. itís Ok. Donít see what the big deal is.

Corked bottle pour, shared. Thanks so much D! Pours a super cloudy golden color with a sweet citrus fruit aroma. Lemon and citrus flavor with a nice oaky flavor to compliment. A little bit of white grape too. Unique from the other Cascade sours for sure. Really nice beer.

Bottle shared by Bill, pours clearish golden orange. Notes of wood, booze, sticky fruit, weird funk, and pepper. This is not good, not sure if its always been like this.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, with a creamy head. Aroma is very nice sour and fruity, with some farmyard and brett, oak, balsamico and lacto. Creamy body, with light carbonation. Flavour is acidic with lots of fruitiness, brett, lacto and oaken barrels. Easy drinking, and with no alcohol heat. Lingering sour finish.

ALLOVATE (2548) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 23, 2014
Deep amber with lively effervescence and misted by proteins in suspension. Lasting white foam with a mirrored sheen. Good lace. Aroma is dominated by lactic, yoghurt and hairy, Hessian Brett. notes. Tart fruit, oxidised white wine, woody spice and alcohol spice with a hint of vanilla and oak. Insanely easy drinking. Hides that ABV. Tart and tight with a penetrating vinous fruit sourness. Light oak and vanillin amongst wonderfully gripping and lasting fruit notes. A little warmth only builds as it warms fully. A little rough with Brett. notes lasting also. Body is light but rounded. Sprightly and lively. Not awfully complex but adorably quaffable. Lovely! (75cL, 2011 vintage, courtesy of the lads at Feral Brewing)

Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Light tartness and some white grape. Cloudy gold with a light head. Light sourness, malts and some light tomato with a dry and mild booze finish. The age on this bottle has not improved it, I remember it much better fresh.

Sampled from a bottle at WTWBA 2014 in Minneapolis. Gold pour with a white head. Tart / sour fruit plus a little oakiness. This was quite good.

Nice yellow body with a white head. Very fruity aroma with a flavor to match.
