COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wood aged Pale Quadruppel. Imagine a blend of Scaldis and Cantillon Pure Kriek. Forget it, there is nothing like it (yet). Vlad is shocking to your sour beer senses and taste buds, which do not understand that such a balanced delicate sour beer can be so drinkable and appeal to so many people while being extreme. But donít forget, it will still open a can of 10.6% whoop-ass on your ass after all the pomp & circumstance of what an amazing beer it is subsides.

Bottle. Pours a nice dark orange color with an off white head. Aroma is of balsamic vinegar, wood, vanilla, caramel, dark fruits, cherry notes, some funk of dusty old flavors, barnyard, cellar like notes and vinous red grape notes. The flavor follows the nose with nice tart balsamic vinegar notes, dark fruits, cherry, wood, vanilla, caramel, vinous red grape notes, and the funky flavors of dusty and old notes and barnyard. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a pretty nice Sour/Wild Ale!

Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Light tartness and some white grape. Cloudy gold with a light head. Light sourness, malts and some light tomato with a dry and mild booze finish. The age on this bottle has not improved it, I remember it much better fresh.

Sampled from a bottle at WTWBA 2014 in Minneapolis. Gold pour with a white head. Tart / sour fruit plus a little oakiness. This was quite good.

Pours a thin head on a cloudy dirty straw colored body. The aroma is sour and grapes, lots of grapes. The taste is sweet and sour, grapes, honey, lemon and oak. Outstanding balanced and depth. The texture is fizzy and crisp. Amazing.

Sample at first sunday. Got the last pour so a little bit of yeast and grit at the end. Still really complex though. Fruit and fund and wood and oak. A lot going on in the aromas and flavors. Red fruit and plum flavors. Little bit of spice on the finish as well. Every sip is something different and new which is a mark of a ridiculous sour for me.

750 ml shared bottle. Nice hazy red-amber color. Strong sour aroma with a very rich and complex flavor. Barrel aging is exceptionally well done, with enough added flavor to enhance but not overpower the other, mostly fruity, properties. Moderately tart.

750 c&c from Belmont Station. Pours hazy burnt copper with a transient head. Aroma is sour oaky fruit - reminds of BFM. Med + body. Itís tart, mildly sour, and mixedly fruity. Starts cherry, oak, tart/sour, gets a sweetness towards the end of each quaff; sort of. Itís almost sour and sweet at the same time. Almost. Not a trace of heat. Challenges the palate. Excellent.
