Hazy translucent orange, thin head. Aroma of tart berry, lemon peel, peppery yeast/hops/something. Taste is more sour than expected, nice lactic sour with a good malt balance.

Sample tray. Sour with a strong good tasty vinegar note that really cuts through a spicy meal.

Taster @ Chuck’s. Man this is one tart beer. Barely tastes like beer. Uber cloudy pale straw color. Doesn’t look all that great but packs a sour punch. Interesting little beer.

Nice sour-ish gose. Cloudy orange/rust color. Ripe aromatics showing plenty of red fruit. Semi-sour palate with layers of tart berries medium to long finish. Great acidity- would be amazing with food.

Big thanks to drabmuh for securing this growler and bringing it to the Cascade tasting. Served in a Cascade Barrel House goblet. Pours a fairly-clear orange color with a nice white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. Thin collar throughout. The nose has a nice combination of cranberry, citrus, and lacto. Nothing over the top, but plenty there. The flavor hits the same notes, with the spice and fruit mixing really well with the acid. Very light salty note, which goes well with the acidity. Mouthfeel is very light with a dry, acidic finish. Really impressive from the folks in Portland.

On tap at Chuck’s 85th Market. Smell is slightly fruity. Taste is a tart tangerine and citrus. Very light body, very refreshing. Solid drink.

draft. cloudy medium honey brown body with a white head. musty and tart with fresh / lively spice (i’m guessing the hibiscus) and semi-tart orange peel. cranberries seems non-existant, while body is nicely dry and frothy. not sure of salt usage but could say it’s salty. good, frothy, firm texture with a refreshing and quaffable nature given by medium-high acid. good stuff.

Seems like an odd find in the summer, but the description at the brewery said that they liked it so much that they had to bring it back before the winter. Pours from the tap a gold color with a lasting white head. The aroma is richly perfumey with cranberry and orange. The flavor is spicy and phenolic with a very light tartness. Some tart cranberry is evident, as is a light bitterness. Light bodied and a touch sticky. Maybe just a little too much going on for me to enjoy. When I think gose, I want light and refreshing, and this just misses that my a little, with their summer version being much better.
