COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship, this beer defines the classic, American-Style Pale Ale. We looked to the Pacific Northwest, rather than England, for our inspiration and our ingredients. Utilizing malt, hops, water, and most importantly yeast from the USA allowed us to create a balanced, highly drinkable beer. It’s no accident that the Carrabassett Pale Ale is our top-selling beer, year after year.

Clear dark gold. Thin, foamy white head. Steady carbonation. Mix of toasty sweet malts and citrus in the aroma. Hints of dry hay as well. Mildly crisp with a grassy/hay base, citric juiciness and a light toasted toffee aftertaste. Gentle bitterness. Light bodied. Clean and smooth. Long aftertaste. Dry as well. Finishes with an increased bitterness and citric peel dryness. Decent.

Bottle. Light malt and orange aroma. Clear fizzy orange with a small off-white head. Watery grainy malt flavor... like a slightly better than average macro lager. Light carbonated body with a dry finish.

Bottle. Orange, cherry and hay malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet corn/barley malt flavor with hint of hay to finish. First ale I’ve ever had that tastes like a cheap lager (that wasn’t a cream ale).

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange, apricots and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with orange, apricots, grainy malt and a touch of floral hops. Medium body, fairly sweet with low bitterness. Decent malt profile, but lacking some hops to give it something extra. Drinkable though.
