COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop-Forward India Pale Ale
5 Points is the original name of the intersection in front of Cask & Larder. The beer is an American IPA brewed with a Southern California water profile. Maris Otter base malt with Belgian Cara malts are used for slight sweetness and color. A variety of West Coast hops are also used throughout the brewing process to give a well-rounded hop profile without being overly bitter.

Beer from a 1 Liter growler .. . Pours a deep yellow .. mild foam .. . lighty resin, toffee, grain and wort runnings .. . medium feel .. . almost balanced, quite malt forward but not to much .. . . what are you people doing in my corpse hatch?!

Growler thanks to hopscotch at RBWG Grand Tasting. Clear, amber to red pour. Spotty lacing. Nose is mildly vegetal, moving to caramel. Quite nutty. Taste is nutty, orange peel, spices, mild butterscotch. Oily, mild maple syrup palate. Good overall.

Growler at RBWG, poured a golden color with aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, malt, and some light grass. Flavors are the same light malt with citrus thrown in. Nice IPA overall.

Growler at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear gold with a fine, frothy white head. Pleasant citrusy hop aroma, some tangerine. Medium sweet flavor, sweet pale malts, hints of anise, tangerine and grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light piney hop finish, more citrusy fruits, tangerine especially. Good IPA.
