Hop-Forward India Pale Ale
5 Points is the original name of the intersection in front of Cask & Larder. The beer is an American IPA brewed with a Southern California water profile. Maris Otter base malt with Belgian Cara malts are used for slight sweetness and color. A variety of West Coast hops are also used throughout the brewing process to give a well-rounded hop profile without being overly bitter.

One of the freshest, most flavorful IPAs I've ever had with a beautifully delicate balance of sweet and hops. Phenomenal! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear gold with a fine, frothy white head. Pleasant citrusy hop aroma, some tangerine. Medium sweet flavor, sweet pale malts, hints of anise, tangerine and grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light piney hop finish, more citrusy fruits, tangerine especially. Good IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Growler thanks to hopscotch at RBWG Grand Tasting. Clear, amber to red pour. Spotty lacing. Nose is mildly vegetal, moving to caramel. Quite nutty. Taste is nutty, orange peel, spices, mild butterscotch. Oily, mild maple syrup palate. Good overall. 2/28/2013 6/4/7/4/13=3.4

Tap at Cask & Larder. The most successful beer on tap by far today. Really floral, juicy, quite interesting with mega perfume and grapefruit juice. Intense, juicy, great mouthfeel. Fresh citrus peel nose. Sharp and fresh ruby red grapefruit juice.

Growler... Clear amber w/ small, creamy, white. Fruity, funky hops & medium-roast malt. Full-bodied & lightly creamy w/ modest carb. Nicely bittered flavor. Tasty, juicy, bitter hops. Lengthy bitter finish.

Nice one. Draft at C&L. Fairly complex hop nose, pine resin, tropical fruit (a funky pineapple maybe?), sweat sock, maybe some citrus but less of that. Flavor more resiny, solid malt backbone but it doesn’t get in the way, you’re still mostly thinking about the hops. Balanced finish. Deep amber color.

In tap at Cask & Larder in Winter Park. Pours a clear orange with a white head and aroma of hops and grapefruit. Taste is bitter sweet, lots of citrus and grapefruit bursts with hops and a smooth, dry, long bitter finish. Very drinkable IPA

On tap at Cask and Larder, pours a golden orange color. Nose is bitter and citrusy. Taste is bitter as well with strong pine and resin. Finish is bitter and moderately long. Quaff Score 7 / 10
