What a delight to say I now have tried all the Crass, er Cass beers on the database. While I was about to start on the usual diatribe of how bloody objectionable these macro Asians are the reality check is that my own country also has rubbish too. We don’t get to see the gems unless we are in the actual country and have time to scout around. Given that I am in Kuala Lumpur and the only reason why I can get to drink South Korean beers is becuase nearby apartments are significantly represented by these countrymen, I of course can only have access to these beerlightful examples of Asian swill. This beer is an example of the very disturbing trend of a lot of brewers in the region to produce high ABV beers with dreadful malty, fusel alcohol ridden flat as a tack roughies. Yeah, its a bit redder than the others but this could just be kimche juice and not malt. The former is surely cheaper.

0.355l can. Yeah, this one pours a crystal clear dark golden body with a medium sized but qui.. DAMMIT! My pot just boiled over! OK, yeah, a quickly fading in to completely nothing white head. The aroma has tones of something fruity, sweet grains, cactus and a little hint of alcohol. All in all really subtle. It tastes like a juiced up lager. Mild pale-malty flavors with a near watery texture. It has a average carbonation level and that’s pretty much it. Boring? Well it’s a Korean Malt Liquor so I’m really not in a position to say that’s it boring, but flavor vise it’s quite dull an un-exciting indeed. 27.04.2012

Sweetish caramel nose with a hint of dusty yeast. Taste is lightly sweet, some chewy toffee malt, very light hops, some aspirin.

Thanks to SHIG. Smells like corn, and chardonnay. Tastes like hell. Malt liquor for the oppressors. Viva la revolution!

5oo ml can in Sulymanyah, Iraq. Pours a orange color with a very short and fast to go white head. Aroma is sour bubblegum, alcohol and malt. Taste is some sharp chemicals and malt with alcohol. Palate is somewhat offensive but this hangs in the just drinkable range.

Can 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Lone. Pours a clear golden with a dissipating white head. Sweet malty nose, some brewing cereal and I believe also brewing syrup. Medium body, sweet malt, syrup and sulphur with your typical Malt Liquor roughness. The booze is evident in the finish, but hardly any hops. 250711

Can. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and malt, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol stings the mouth - too raw. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
