COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Following the millenary tradition of the abbeys of Belgium and the Netherlands, Especialidades Cerveceras is proud to present Milenia, a unique hand crafted bottle conditioned ale. Only 4,000 to 5,000 bottles of this monastic brew are obtained from each brew. Its body goes from medium to robust with a high alcohol level (8.0% vol). Its unique taste derives from the well balanced blend of roasted and caramel malts as well and English and Czech noble hops. The specially selected yeast accounts for its complex bouquet and fruity flavor. Fresh wort and yeast are added prior to bottling to promote a secondary fermentation that will take place within the bottle. The bottles go through cellarage at the brewery under controlled environment. This delicate process is known as “bottle conditioning” and provides the superb refinement of flavors and aromas found in every Milenia.

Bottle at Brewtopia. Orangish yellow, tannish head. Brown sugar and spice aroma. Malty pumkin flavor. Interesting and a different take on a Belgian style.

Hazy mango with a thin, off-white head. Fruity sweet aroma of peaches, apples, mangos, pears, sugar and honey. Quite drinkable with soft carbonation and a pleasant finish. Nice fruits in the flavor and doughy/spicy yeast to help compliment. There is plenty of character in this Mexican delicacy. Many thanks.

Caramel and bread malt (L); flowery hops (L); Medium copper body. Lightly sweet flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, oily/watery texture, average carbonation. The bottom line is: needs more oomph!

!SALUD! Bottle. Pale-orange, giant head. Explosive freshess: peachy aroma laced with hoppiness that goes delightfully into the flavor. Nice.

Bottle: Brownish red with a heavy beige head; cloudy. Sweet, fruity aroma that is also very noticable in it´s taste. Good balance with the high alcohol level. Too bad it is so hard to get.

Poured a light brown with not much head but signifigant lacing. Aroma of a fruitcake. Flavor was vinuos and somewhat on the sweet side. Thick mouthfeel with pleasant carbonation.

Bad Bottle?
Bottle poured a caramel brown with no head or lacing at all. Big alcohol aroma with over ripe fruits. Flavor is sweet malt and spice, caramel with a tart viniger finish. Thib beer was very watery and looked like standing colored water. Cool label though.

Hazy peach amber color with a small fading off white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and slightly metallic. Flavor starts fruity sweet (mango) with a touch of honey turning quite tart and finishing pretty dry. Smooth spritzy palate. It’s a belly warmer.

Sampled at Brewtopia ’04. Amber/red color with a smallish white head. Aroma of citrus and spice. Flavor was malty sweet with the alcohol standing out. Finished with a little hops, but not enough to balance it out.

Bottle courtesy of Slikwily.Pours a amber honey color with some creamy head.Nose is complex: at first I thought just some caramel and sweet fruit, but after some kind of spices come out then a little more sweet malts.the flavor is a little more challenging. It almost has a dash of sourness added to the sweetness from the malts, then I realize it isn’t sour but bitter from the hops.Feels nice on the tongue. Thanks Kevin.
