Slightly hazy copper; malty aroma with a fair bit of perfume, and some peach. Sweet palate carrying the aforementioned notes. A little bit spritzy for its size. Decent, but sometimes I have trouble getting into the sweeter tripels.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2005 OK, so a Belgian Strong Ale brewed in Mexico, what’s next? Taco’s from Belgium? Any-whoo, I thought the alcohol taste was overpowering the sweet maltiness. I thought the abv was around 11%. Cloudy amber color. Medium bodied but I couldn’t get past the strong taste.
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (4077) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 23, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2007 The aroma is pretty close to what it should be. It’s got fruit, yeast, caramel malt and alcohol. The appearance is awful! there is NO head 0, zip, zilch. The color is deep amber. The flavor is like the aroma with the addition of cardboard and cork. The palate is super thin. Was this beer supposed to be flat? What a disappointment. Nice bottle art though.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 29, 2008
Boxed bottle from John’s Market Place in Portland, OR--Dried small cork that just sort of fell out after metal caging broke. Precursor to review...Beer aged too much perhaps. Little carbonation. Murky amber-brown body with a dull clear bubbled head. Funky apple juice and cardboard nose. Slightly peppery and very sweet. Strange chemical funk with over maturation evident. I could tell this beer might have had something to it once, but not any more. Too bad.

My beer spotter seen this one at Plaza Liquers on recent trip to Tucson, Az. Art work on the beer lable may be the best thing about it. Fermented aroma, some cherry and some alcohol. Caramel color body and according to decricption I should of had a decent head. No head to beer. Flavor was lackluster waterdown brew that was totaly different from dicription also. Flavor also reminded me of drinking a rhine wine and had a stale fruit aftertaste. Maybe I got a bad botttle or this is overpriced at 12.40 for a 750 ml bottle.

Thanks to egajdzis. Pours a hazy orange amber with a very small light tan head that did not sustain. Aroma of cork, grapes and sour apple. Flavor was more of the cork, grapes and apple. Something was off in both flavor and aroma. Very watery with no carbonation.

Absolutely no head when first poured. Thought I was going have some iced tea. flavors are mild but fruity to give some notice. The malts are too watery to really take notice. overall not really worth your money, better if somebody else buys it.

Bad Bottle?
Bottle poured a caramel brown with no head or lacing at all.
Big alcohol aroma with over ripe fruits.
Flavor is sweet malt and spice, caramel with a tart viniger finish.
Thib beer was very watery and looked like standing colored water.
Cool label though.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - JUL 12, 2004
Murky amber with weak white head. Funky nose. Fruit and spice. Slightly astringent in the mouth. Light carbonation. Flavor was sweet and sour. Had trouble placing this beer. In the end, it just wasn’t anything I enjoyed.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 hopdog (7652) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2006
No thanks to egajdzis for this one. Poured a deep orange color with a small sized off white head. Some floaters. Aromas of strong cork, rotten vegetables, and if I stretch it, some underlying fruitiness. I couldn’t get around that damn off aroma. Tastes of the same crap with sour apples. Thin and flat body. I see other raters mention off aromas and tastes, so I don’t have a problem putting this one in. Drain pour. Cool box and label though.
