Sample #2 of 4 in my African Pale Lager tasting. Pours a clear golden with a thinner fizzy airy white head 2.5. Aroma is lightly sweet with a nice bright fruity note. Pretty full flavored for a pale lager, a strange combination of sweet breadiness and strong bitterness, a touch metallic, a bit fruity, comes close to being German, big maltiness, just a touch of alcohol in the full finish. Medium bodied with a big heavy mouth-feel, nice fairly sharp spread out bit carbonation bubbles. This is pretty good.

Bottle at Sheraton Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Golden yellow, thin white head. Aroma of grass and alcohol. Mixed malt sweetness and bitter taste. Boring.

Straw to light golden in color. Moderate off-white head. Dusty and musty malt mingles with form grassy and herbal hops. HInts of alcohol and medicine. Sweet flavors throughout. Initial grain, followed by some generic bitterness. Hint of malt actually wind in and out. Alcohol flavors are a bit too distracting for the actual heft of this one. This tastes like a 8+% malt liquor. Which is not necessarily a good thing.

Poured from bottle golden with good carbonation and diminishing head. Malty sweet aroma with doughy flavors that reminded me of cream corn. Body is creamy, and finish is hop without bitterness and lasting malty goodness.

Golden-straw colour with lots of sparkle. Grainy, slightly industrial nose with aged herbal hoppiness. Malty start, finishes slightly tart. Quite sweet throughout, with some very light herbal hop flavour but no bitterness.
