On tap at Bierbörse Mainz, 0,4. Very dark, but low CO2, moldy and stale. I like every kind of Dunkles, but didn´t finish this one. Rather sweet in the beginning, but lacking body and bitter, unacceptable finish. Won´t try this one again.

Thanks to erzengel for this bottle! Pours a clear orangish brown with a huge tan head. The smell is roasted malt, bread, chocolate and some fruit. The taste is a bit of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate...a very nice blend of a mild malt sweetness and a nice roast dryness. Fairly light in body with some slickness to it and nice fine yet prickly carbonation. Wow...a great dunkel!

(Test vom 9.7.2008) --> 12,14,13,14,12,14 - 13,55

Muffiger, leicht erdiger Geruch. Wässriger, etwas holziger Antrunk. Mal hopfig, mel herber, dabei rustikal malzig. Mildes Bier. Test vom 11.3.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 8,8,8,7,-,7 - 7,42

Shiny dark amber color with a flat, short-lived head. The smell is much malty with caramel and toffe. Just great. It starts very malty with a slightly sour note. In addition, subtle yeasty and slightly chocolatey. The aftertaste is also very sour, malty, here, the hop comes through something better. The further course seems to be always full-bodied. Wonderful toasty aromas come through, combined with chocolate and caramel. The first harsh acidity lies down something.
