500ml bottle shared by jsprime. pours lightly hazed golden with a white head. nice rustic feel to this helles, a touch to much fermentation character but it adds some nice complexity. fun to try.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, crisp hoppy. Light citrusy. Bitter, grassy and citrusy hoppy. Ends dr and bitter.

Süffig herb-getreidiger Antrunk wobei die Getreidigkeit die vorherrschende Stellung einnimmt und auch im weiteren Verlauf im Vordergrund steht. Dazu süßlich, zwischendurch dringt aber immer wieder eine herbe Note hervor und verdrängt die Süße kurzzeitig. Im Mittelteil weiter frisch Getreidig, im Abgang ist die Note schwächer aber trotzdem deutlich präsent. Herbe und Süße sind hier bereits verschwunden. Gelungen.

A little weaker than most Helles but still very nice. These are good for those nice summer days.

Pours into the glass a properly golden yellow beer with a fine, durable head. The smell is delicate hoppy, yeasty and dominant sour, with a light malt flavor. It starts malty, hoppy balanced, with a mild tartness, sweetness and a moderate occurring. The aftertaste is fruity-fermented, yeasty, slightly sour with a long finish. The further course is pleasantly mild hoppy, light and sweet, tangy, and delicious yeasty and sour!

Deep blond color. It has a cerals aroma. The mouthfeel is quite dry, with just some light malt and cereals flavor, and quite low bitterness, not to count that the hop doesn’t bring qualitative character. Too simple.

Bottle 2 Liter with swing top: Poured a golden color with white head. Aroma is mild and grain. The flavor is fruit with a bitter finish.

2L Bierflasch, I took home from the Brauhaus Castel. Pours a nice golden yellow color with a creamy two finger white head. Aroma is grassy, grainy with a scattering of hops. Taste is interestingly sweet with mild bitter at the end. Mouthfeel is full and a little creamy. This is a damn fine Hell. The Castel is a must stop when you’re in the Weisbaden area.

(draught at the brewpub) Slightly hazy. Golden colour with a fluffy, slightly yellow head. Yeasty, light-sweet pale malt aroma, slightly greenish and fruity with a distinctive spicy and grassy hoppy note. Sweet flavour with a light bitter edge, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Yeasty, honeyish malty taste, with a fruity touch (pears, banana); sweet, worty and a bit sticky finish with a tinge of bittering grassy hops.
