(bottle, with special tanks to Koelschtrinker!) Hazy, amber colour with a thick and persistent, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet and yeasty, strong but aromatic grapefruit aroma with spicy citrousy hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy carbonation. Soft malty base, slightly worty with grapefruit on a light herbal background; medium-dry, malty and a bit slim, slightly bitter finish with aromatic citrousy and herbal hops. Good Märzen, that could be a bit better bodied.

Koelschtrinker (7054) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Weicher, leicht süßer hopfiger Geruch. Prickelnd, leicht süß-malziges Aroma. Test vom 11.3.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 9,8,8,9,-,9 - 8,68

Gift from a friend in Wiesbaden - 2L Growler. Pours a nice medium golden/amber color. Aromas of wheat bread, caramel malts, and a touch of hops. Flavors of caramel, toffee, and a nice smooth finish.

Draft at the brewpub: poured lightish amber with a medium ecru head. Light hop aroma. Kind of an earthy thing going on here. Flavor is earthy albeit light. Quite a bit of carbonation. Light malt and a touch of hops present. Ever so slightly sweet. Nice beer. Clean and refreshing. The label says this is 5.8% but the chalkboard listed it at 5.2%
