It’s golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, apple and citrus. The flavor has sweetness and notes of yeast, malt and fruit. The finish has some slightly spicy citrus.

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Moderately sweet and grainy malty aroma with a tinge of biscuits and marzipan, accompanied by traces of flowery hops. Moderately sweet and faint bitter flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly grainy and subtle fruity taste with light floral notes; medium-dry mildly grainy and shy fruity finish. A bit flat but drinkable brew. 02.XII.09

Golden colour with a white head. Malty and light fruity aroma. Thinner texture than expected but also a bit more hoppy than expected. Light malty and hoppy flavour.

Bottle, 750ml cork & caged from Bi1 Vendeuvre sur Barse, France. Orange amber with white head, carbonated. The heavy carbonation gives a damp cardboard note initially but this soon dissipates. Sweet, fruity malts, touches of hay perhaps with a sultana background. Some sweet biscuit a little bubblegum. It’s okay if a touch unexciting.

Ooh, nice smoky steam pouring out of the just-corked big bottle. Pours very nicely with a strong fluffy head, but unfortunately very little is identifiable in the aroma. Taste is a very average Bière de Garde style of malts and some syrupiness, which means there’s not much to make this one stand out from the pack of widely distributed beers of this type. Found at my local supermarket, and you can find better Bières de Garde there aside from this one for pretty much the same price.
