COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours almost clear red/amber with a big creamy off-white head. Malty weak spicy aroma. Taste is moderate sweet, bready malts. Creamy filling mouthfeel. Short dry spicy aftertaste.

23.03.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, caramel malts, dark sugar, almond cake, hay, butterscotch, dried fruits, "knekk", hints of licorice. Taste is slightly dry, caramel malts, hay, yeast, alcohol, butterscotch, almond cake, dark sugar, grass, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

0.33L bottle. Amber color with beauty fluffy foam, stays. Mustiness tree, light caramel aroma. Maple syrup, light caramel, black olive, boiled potato flavors. Metallic end is disturbing and not enjoyable.

330ml bottle. Clear amber. Lots of bubbles, not much head. Nice sweet malt nose, lots of bread, brioche, some butterscotch. Really sweet flavour, sweet bread again to the fore, nuts, lots of burnt caramel, some toasted notes. Decent body, fairly highly carbonated, short finish. Has a really distinctive flavouring this, I like it.

Red glowing body, very clear but Appetising I have to say. Clean, light caramel, biscuity, hopless. It’s okay though. Clean taste, too watery. Tasteless ending. (33cl bottle from Auchan in Tours)

Smell: faint caramel. Pours reddish amber with nice white head. Head stays for some time and small head doesn’t dissapear for long time. Taste: heavy caramel and lighter sweetness with some bitterness and watery taste. Finish: sweet and caramel bitter. Medium carbonation. Overall: caramel kills almost everything else here. Not a bad beer, but nothing exciting either.
