Bread, toast, leather, alcohol. This beer lacks original Belgium taste and is more like average European beer. It surely feels your mouth with that special "amber" taste, but that’s not what one would expect from a beer from Belgium.

Copenhagen 31/10 2015. 33 cl bottle from restaurant at Gråbrødre Torv. Pours amber with big white head. Settles as 1 cm creamy layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma of malty sweetness, toffee and honey. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Taste follows the nose. Sweet with caramel and toffee. Very light bitterness. Fine ambre. Sweet without being nauseating. Fine for a brisk autumn afternoon.

Bärnstensfärgad öl med vitt skum. Doft av malt, karamell och viss honugssötma. Lätt fruktighet tiullkommer i smaken.För söt för mig.

Bottle shared with friends @ home - Color: clear dark amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: domination of caramel and malt. Roasted malt. Small strange acid notes... Why? Taste: really watery, caramel and roasted malt with high attenuation. Watery finish. Aftertaste: small caramel sweet acidity. Very bad beer!

25cl bottle at our holiday home in France. Clear amber with a medium white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Subtle sweet and bitter tones. Caramel, malts, some fruity tones, citrus and herbs. An ok French brew.

Dark amber color, off-white head. Grainy aroma with some yeasty esters. Tastes more like a lager than a belgian ale. Quite bitter in the aftertaste. Easy drinking and enjoyable but nothing special.
