500ml can bought from La Defence, poured into a tulip glass - because I felt like it! Okay head, okay amber colour, appealing enough. Smells of malts and caramel, some barley deep down in there, not a bad aroma. Taste is a satisfying mix of dark malts, barley, syrupy on the middle but with a dry finish. I like this one.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with hefty beige head, decent retention. Malty aroma, some alcohol and slight yeast. Bittery but not to much, slight caramel. Very filling. I guess it’s ok, although I’m not the biggest fan.

Bottle, Academie de la Biere, Strasbourg. Dark amber colour with a small, off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Thinnish palate, lively carbonation. Some spiciness in the flavour which mixed with some red fruit just about works. Slightly bitter finish. Ok-ish

Bottle. Poured an amber colour, with a thin, off-white head. Malty aroma.. Highly carbonated, with a thinnish mouthfeel. Taste is malt and hops but mostly a sugary sweetness. A long sweet and then sour finish. Too sweet for me.

Bottle 33 cl. Amber color with good foam. Very malty aroma with toffee and candied fruit, wine and a little sweetness blows. Taste with sweet malt dominates and candied fruit.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2004 Pasturised bottle from Safeway, Aylesbury, Bucks. Bottled. Sugary, malty, not nice. There is really no point to this beer in my mind. Drainpour!!!

Bottle shared with friends @ home - Color: clear dark amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: domination of caramel and malt. Roasted malt. Small strange acid notes... Why? Taste: really watery, caramel and roasted malt with high attenuation. Watery finish. Aftertaste: small caramel sweet acidity. Very bad beer!

Bärnstensfärgad öl med vitt skum. Doft av malt, karamell och viss honugssötma. Lätt fruktighet tiullkommer i smaken.För söt för mig.
