Gyllengul med vitt skum. Söt doft med inslag av bröd och maltighet. I smaken tillkommer lite örtighet och en gräsig beska.

Poured in a Trappist chalice. This is a crystal yellow beer. Smells fairly good. Reminds a good Belgian blond (close to Leffe, perhaps...). Not bad for a French beer. Despite of the 6.4%, you do not feel much alcohol, which helps the drinkability. It should be a good option for a sunny day, followed by a barbecue and listening to Gainsbourg... :) [ BA Review @ 11/11/2009 ]

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly a touch of yeast, lightly a touch of bitter. Taste lightly malts, lightly a touch of bitter, a hint of grains, slightly sweetish. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer. Typical biere de garde.

Can (I think it was) shared in the car while hustling through Belgium back in March 2013. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white foam head. Big cereal and bread aroma with hints of straw. Medium sweet flavor with hefty doughy bread, some white sugar. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with notes of cereal, doughy biscuits, light alcohol, more white sugar. Simple but decent. A pretty classic biere de garde.

Dry, herbal, spicey, not at all hot but slightly warming. Pretty decent example of the style.
