Bread, leaves, alcohol. Another disappointment from Chti production. Nice floral aroma, but nothing else that one would expect from ’blonde’ beer from Belgium. It tastes almost like ale.

Pours a clear golden color with an off-white head. The smell is grain, bread, honey. The taste is honey, grain, quite sweet ending fruity and a bit crisp. Light+ and oily with fine carbonation structure creating a rather silky smooth brew. Too sweet overall though the mouthfeel was nice.

Golden with a white head. Sweet malty taste, notes of citrus, fruits. Soft carbonation. Oily texture. Slightly spicy and bitter

A golden yellow glass with a persistent hail of carbonation and a murky whitish head that sat as an ugly gibbous crescent on top of the beer. The aroma is vaguely musty, somewhat citric with lemon and tangerine and vaguely tasty as well. There’s a bit going on with some bitterness but mostly astringent character. I liked it more than my preamble supposes, but it is what it is.

Botella 75. Dorada poca espuma y algo turbia. Aroma ligeramente herbal con toque de fermento. Cuerpo medio, bastante carbonatada. En boca es muy muy agradable, con un estupendo sabor lupulado, Bastante bebible y agradable.

France trip can. Pale yellow with small white head - dissipates to thin line. Medium carbonation. Decent aroma, no ting on tongue or mouth. Tastes thin with malty aftertaste.

Dorée plutôt équilibrée, une bouche agréable, mais caractère retenu. Trouvable notamment chez Léon de Bruxelles en France.

Pours clear pale gold with a fat finger of fluffy white head diminishing rapidly to nothing, no lacing. (3/5) Nose is caramel malt, light flowery and grassy hops. (6/10) Taste is moderately strong sweet, mild bitter, slight tart. (5/10) Medium bodied, lively to moderate carbonation, mild bitter and slightly boozy finish. (3/5) Another pretty sweet Bière de Garde. Really not a lot of character beyond the caramel malt - the hops are very far in the background, and don’t play a lot of a role here. On the up side, the higher ABV also doesn’t play much of a role. Ultimately, not very interesting. (10/20)

Saeglopur (961) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - MAY 7, 2015
250 ml bottle from a French deli store in Vienna.
Golden, clear body, with a medium, frothy, white head.
Aroma of grains, sweet bread, citrus, grass, sweet malts.
Quite light taste of hay, bread, yeast, some citrus, moderate sweet malts.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes light, a bit bitter, grainy, bready, a bit fruity, slightly alcohol warming.

Good. Lighter than the ABV suggests, drinks quite easy. Taste is a bit too light for my liking actually. I’ve had better beers of this style, but not bad.

Light amber with rich, bit vreamy white head. Well balanced taste components, moderate bitterness stays in the aftertaste, ggod but nothing interesting. Some metalic notes.
