From the 750 in a somewhat random northern French estaminet called Diablotin. Poured a hazy golden-amber. Sweet malty nose with some floral hints. Mildly sweet with a light bitterness on lively carbonation. Struck me as nice with food but not one I’d need much of.

Foam medium and moderately persistent. Golden blond slightly warped. Nose of medium intensity with blunt smells green pear. Moderately dense but refreshing. In the end, it gives off aromas of medium intensity rather fruity, among which differs from the pear and a touch of vanilla. Rather good overall balance, with a well proportioned bitterness.

Flaske medbrakt av esp0r. Slow gusher. Klar gylden farge. Tynn hvit skumtopp. Moderat karbonert. Smaker malt, hint av frukt og gjær. Ganslr uinteressant. Det finnes heldigvis bedre biere de gard en denne

330 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Time Square, Causeway Bay.

Clear light golden orange colour with no yeast sediments; One finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Very good sticky lacing and fizzy small carbonation;Slight aroma of full malt, with faint floral, sugar, molasses notes, very light ester, strong bread and dough, yeast and faint grass; Medium sweet taste of full malt, with light caramel, molasses, thick bread, strong dough, yeast, light lime and very light bitter grassy hops; Medium body. Dry, thick and smooth palate; Mouth feel is very straight forward BdG: full lager malt, very smooth, bready / doughty and yeasty with strong caramel undertone. Sweetness is matching mid-to-low with more molasses than sugar. Low hops and not much else, simple… Hoppiness is faint floral and grass in nose, light lime and very low grassy hops in taste. Bitterness is very low-fi for a malty, very low bitter finish; Dry after taste. Easy and malty sweet to mouth.

Comments: This one feels like a very rich and smooth Lager more than a strong Pale Ale as BdG goes, it still keep the style’s basic elements like caramel tones, yeastiness and dry palate. So simple as it may, it’s a quaffable good meal alternative in the Summer. Okay.

Blonde légèrement orangée. Peu de mousse, peu persistante. Un goût malté, très légèrement houblonné. Fin de bouche avec petite amertume qui dénote et fait son charme.
