COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Black beer in appearance, similar to a porter. The aroma is very wine orientated whereas the flavour is lightly bitter with malt and coffee elements. A reasonable beer, better than I was expecting.

Bottle 25cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is malty with caramel, chocolate and licorice notes. Aroma is very sweet with caramel and brown bread notes and metallic with nutty finish, body is less complex. The beer is more a German Dunkel than any thing else, not bad just too sweet, finish is hopy and with high carbonation.

Taste of roast malt, a bit of alcohol. Nothing else. No real aftertaste or anything. I actually find it a bit better than the Chti blonde, though.

A beginner Biere de Garde. Is a little dark but also very watery. But tastes really good.

Bouteille de 25cl. Couleur brune presque opaque, mousse honnète assez onctueuse. Une bière assez typée, très torréfiée, un peu au niveau du goût dans l’esprit d’une guiness mais la comparaison s’arrête là. Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.

Bouteille: Deep amber coloured, clear, small foamy off-white layer; sweet fruity (dried berries) and caramelly nose with a slight acidity; sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; berries, dark malt and sourish traces in the bitter-sweet finish. Drinkable.....

(bottle, 75cl) Clear, dark brown colour with a tanned and small foamy head. Slightly earthy and nutty toast-malty aroma with a vinous fruity touch. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malt-character with earthy, leafy and nutty notes, accompanied by a berry fruity touch; mildly sweet and moderately toasted malty finish with notes of dried fruits in the aftertaste. 21.II.11

Bottle. Pours with a minimal eggshell head; deep dark brown color. Raisiny sweetness dominates the aroma; very light dark fruits as well. Some yeastiness. Taste features the raisins as well; not too sweet which is good, but is borderline. Dry biscuit finish. Thinner palate with very light carbonation and a bit sticky over the tongue. OK, but nothing terribly good either. No complexity.

Shared this one w/SkyCop32. Pours a hazy dark amber color. Aromas of sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt(honey), alcohol tastes bigger than 6.4%. Dry finish and aftertaste.
