Appearance: Clear amber with 3 finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Grassy, woody, spicy, candied peel, mineral, golden syrup and floral. Taste: Medium sweetness, low/medium bitterness, low sourness. Palate: Thick grainy texture, light body, average carbonation, dry lingering sweet, fruity, spicy finish with a bitterness in the mix. Comments: Ok and glass lace.

MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - FEB 15, 2014
(swing top bottle, 65cl) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly caramelly malty aroma with bready and slightly nutty notes, accompanied by a subtle citric touch. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Biscuity cara-malt character with mildly fruity accents; sweet and delicately bitter finish with notes of biscuits and caramel, while the alcoholic strength is warming, not harming. 26.XII.13

DruncanVeasey (7097) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2014
Only 328 shopping days to go. 750ml fliptop. Clear bronze with an initially massive off white foam. Neutral, slight nectarine, stale boiled sweet, strong lager and marzipan aroma. OK beyond with the same kind of weak stewed stone fruit and washy almond flavour. Drab. Not enough interest for the alcoholic and calorific buck.

650ml Flasche. Bernstein Farbe, schöne Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, würzig, Wurst?! Geschmack sehr malzig süß, leicht würzig. So leicht schmeckt es auch nach Leberwurst :-)

250ml bottle. Clear amber color. Tiny to almost no head. Just pure malts in aroma. Bready, malty, sweet taste. Can’t detect alcohol.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2014 250ml bottle - shared by Marduk, thanks!
Sweet and sour aroma. Corny taste. Smooth palate. Sweetish, but not sticky, and covers the alcohol pretty well. Its main flaw is that it’s boring, and the sourness in the aroma. Maybe harsh, but it’s not sold itself to me at all well.

Pours yellow colour.. The flavour is sweet, creamy. Vinous and moldy finish. Creamy mouthfeel and carbonation.

0,25L bottle, BB 28.10.2014. Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma: malt, fruits, spices, perfumy, but not really pleasant. Taste is very sweet, malt, spices, some fruit. It has some dryness in finish and alcohol. Overall: not awful, but not something I would like to try again.

650ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity aroma comes close to apricot, peach and the like, a strawy touch. Taste is moderately sweet fruity, cautious tart counterweight, hints of apricot, peach, a dry hoppy touch.

65 cl swing top bottle. Golden body, medium white head. Aroma has spices and fermenting apples. Taste has cloying malt and sourish, almost vinegary spices (mostly cloves). Cloying and messy. Just imagine an infected Leffe instead and you don’t ever have to taste this, I promise.
