Bottle shared with and courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeasty with a little malt. The flavour is medium bitter, yeast, malt, woody. Not a great Tripel but not as bad as others seen to think IMO.

thirstyrabbit (1000) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 24, 2013
Small bottle. Bright golden body (pilsner golden). Aroma has dry grassy hops and some honey. Sweetish malty taste. Not resembling an Abbey Tripel at all, hence the low "style" rating here IMO. More like a Biere de Garde. Mildly bitter hops and some alcohol in the finish. Falls in the everdeepening pit of "drinkable but not great" beers.

larsga (5962) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 30, 2014
Large slightly coarse offwhite head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Spicy herbal grassy aroma is quite faint. Dryish grassy fruity taste with mealy oily notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy strawy aftertaste with dusty fruity notes. It’s OK, but kind of boring. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly web order.)

Clear amber gold, medium white head. Nose is sweetness, some fruity hints, malt, booze. Taste is sweet, metallic, malts, boozy finish with caramel. Lingering alcohol bitterness. Thin to medium body, oily palate, somewhat prickly carbonation. Very drinkable, not bad. A triple this ain’t.

0.33l bottle. Leaving it alone long enough and it wants out of the bottle this. In the glass it’s what you can call a crystal clear one. It’s golden, deep golden in color and it a has a small quickly islandy bright white head. Smells a bit like oil and metal. Traces of white bright candied sugar and something floral. A bit of dental floss with some sweet fruit juice in the background. Not to extreme really but not bad either. It’s sharp metallic in the taste. Copper and oil before a medium strong alcohol sharpness kicks in. It’s above average on the almost creamy carbonation level and it feels oily in the mouth. It has some sort of fruit juice touch to it but I can’t put my finger on just what it is. All in all drinkable, but not something I will be having again. 27.03.2014
