3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured three fingers of head on a clear, amber colored body with lots of bubbles visible.
The aroma has a light floral scent with a touch metallic.
The taste is light fruit: apple and pear; with a mild sweet finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
A decent beer, nothing special.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep gold, clear, off white head. Aroma is very malty-sweet, wort-like, light fruit, pear, honey. Flavor is honey-sweet, more light fruit, a little earthy biscuity note, but overall pretty sweet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma is full of biscuit malt. The flavor is similar with some biscuit malt, grain, grass and yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber pour some white head that quickly fades. Aroma of caramel malt, skunky citrus hops. Taste is a big improvement. Heavy toffee malt flavors are balanced by yeastiness and a full body yet dry finish. It’s like an overly malty doppelbock done right. Still it’s not my thing and vaguely reminds me of an amped up heineken.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
P: A bright copper body with floaters and a generous creamy whipped off white head. Wet lacing swarms the edges.
S: Toasted malt, crusty Italian bread, stone fruits, salty caramel, licorice, spicy booze and musty cellar yeast.
T/M: An odd seltzer water, apple peels, toasted caramel, wood and aged grain. Waxy vegetable skins, coriander, musty yeast, bread dough. Different spices that I can’t really pin down but creates an odd profile towards the end. Medium body with a spicy bite.
O: Decent but nothing really shines here. The taste is kinda odd and really seems lack luster. Once warm the flavor becomes more coherent and balanced.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
750ml served in a Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a clear golden orange with a fleeting white head. No retention and a few small specks of lacing. Cool looking bottle.
S - Earthy grain, black tea, applesauce, some peach alcohol.
T - Starts off with a clean sweetness, strong malt presence, peaches, honey, grassy bitterness, chalky minerals, the bitterness hits hard on the finish. Finishes sharp and crisp.
M - Moderate stingy carbonation, medium body, crisp and clean finish.
Lots of sweet malt with grassy hops presence. This was ok. Nothing really wrong with it, I just didn’t love it.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber pour with a 2 finger, creamy off white head. Aroma has cereal toast, nuts, floral hops and light tree fruit. Flavor starts with subtle sweet stone fruit and cereal malt, then some nice tast and nutty malts, tree fruit, yeasty and crusty fresh white bread, nice floral and ever so slight spicy hop notes, hints of earthy dry hay, more spicy and floral hops and mineral notes to the finish. Palate starts off creamy with a medium body and dries out a bit toward the finish without really thinning like most beers do, it becomes a little more oily, but maintains a medium body, mostly creamy feel until the end, which has a nice, mineral dryness with just a touch of booze, awesome. The carbonation is light to medium, with a blanketing and just the right amount of sharpness. A very tasty, though subtle beer with a with a mouthfeel that fits it perfectly.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is fresh, light pitted fruit with interesting malt. Full bodied. Flavor is very intense, but hard to dissect. Arguably a bit nutty. It’s earthy, but not really barnyard. It has sweet malt, but it also tends towards dry. It’s not exactly astringent, but my mouth wants to say it is. It gets a bit earthier with time. It seems very rich, and rich is not a term I’d usually use for a "blonde". Tho it’s in the description. Quite an impressive ale.

The Ginger Man, NY tap ($10): Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is lightly of honey, a bit of farmhouse funk, and plenty of malt. Taste is honey sweetness. There be some dryness. A modicum of hops. Easily drinkable, but this is not a very memorable beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Refrigerated 750 mL brown bottle corked and capped from the rare beer club poured into a tulip. Pours clear copper with three inch fluffy head. Thin small bubble lacing, medium/thin body, medium carbonation, and caramel malt aroma. Taste is caramel malt, earthy bread, spicy yeast and slightly bitter/astrigent hops. Not spectacular, but easy to drink.
