1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330ml bottle - shared by Anna and Marduk from 6llesummer
Pale, fizzy. Mild goats cheese aroma, some simple bready malts, and a hint of baby vomit. Nimbu masala brings out just a hint of that in the taste. But otherwise it’s a weak thin light maltiness. Thin biting noble hops. A touch drying resininess. Very watery palate. As dull as dishwater.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
65cl bottle from some grocery store in Nice, France. Pours a crystal clear, yellow-gold colored body with a finger-width, foamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet, honeyish pale malts with some grain, touches of hay, and a light fruit note. Flavor is thin, grainy pale malts with a touch of honey sweetness, a light hay, and just a hint of fruit. Finishes clean and dry with a very light bitterness before leaving a short aftertaste. Light body and a soft, somewhat active, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty basic pale lager. Not terrible, but not very interesting.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
65cl fliptop bottle from the "bio corner" @Leclerc Verdun. - Typically malty French lager which sadly muffles all quality natural ingredients and specifically characteristic natural hops (pepper, grass, some lemon) under almost chewy layers of it seems poorly ground malts. Kronenbourg’s self-righteously organic nephew?

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden clear body and bubbly white body. Light malty, farmhouse yeast, not very fruity, grass hops but only little. Simple Belgian style blond with very mild taste. Doesn’t quite stack up to the Belgian originals but an extra point for being organic. Unexciting. (50cl bottle from Carrefour in Tours)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
25 cl bottle, Paris, France via Monoprix. Medium gold, thin head. Faint spice aroma, some honey, fairly carbonated with a spicy finish. Better than a standard French lager but, perhaps not worth the premium.
