2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Far from clean aroma, a bit messed up. Simple sweet malts, some spiky esters, some alcoholic vapours too. Very sweet. Rich gold, thin fizzy-to-tight head, actively carbonated. Sweet, a bit corny. Not unpleasant once you’re past the sweetness. Strange fatty hops in the finish. Very much not a good Belgian strong, but not giving me reason to hate it. Not gonna bin it, but not gonna savour it either. Meh.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
33cl poured into tulip
Overall: Honestly not a very impressive beer. Lacking in every category. Probably one of the most disappointing beers I have had in a while.
Appearance: Pours a clear copper-orange with 3cm of white head
Aroma: toffee, nutty maybe?
Taste: semi sweet
Palate: pretty flat, thin texture very short finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Small bottle. Golden body, small white head. Sweet aroma with fruity malts. Sweet and bold malty taste, almost lagery. Not resembling Abbey Tripels which are mostly dry, paler and have a citric/alky bite. Quite drinkable but if I had specifically wanted a Tripel and got this instead then I would feel cheated.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. Clear golden color. Massive thick white head, stays. Sour, alcohol, yeast and malts in aroma. Massive alcohol, sweet, candy, bit of leather in flavor. Looks and tastes like that beer is rather excited (almost exploded when took off cap).

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a bright golden with a full, quickly fading, white head. The aroma is a bit different, with barley, honey, peach, caramel, and wheat. The taste is a different matter. It loses the initial impressions and is replaced with a metallic flavor that is supported by a sweetness that doesn’t completely hide the foul taste. The aftertaste is the same and sadly, it sticks with you for awhile. Medium body and texture, soft, sudsy carbonation. Skip this one.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not a tripel, malty with darkish Amber pour. Not great, paulaner is better, why the comparison? Ask Dan.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
7.7% deep gold colour with a thin head, vinegar aroma and it tasted like dentist’s mouthwash. It may have been off.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden body with small yet lasting light beige head. Sweet aroma, honey, peachy, caramel malts, tea. Like liquid honey. Taste is as expected, with honey like sweetness, but fuller than I anticipated from a brewer such as Castelain. Leaves a nice warming brew for late summer or early autumn that reminds of better days. It’s 27°C today though... (75cl bottle from Auchan)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33cl, a clear copper beer with huge head and good lacings. Nose is on barley sugar and a bit vinous like, blackcurant notes. Aroma is on céréal, caramel and light honey, bit grainy, sweet, light champagne aftertaste, good grassy bitterness. Nice, tasty and easy drinckable.
