3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite, 9/7/12
Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, fruity, caramel/toffee, bread, spice, and a little bit of booze
Appearance: It pours a clear burnt reddish-orange color with a lasting beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet, it is heavily malty, with some fruity notes, and something off in the finish
Palate: The body is medium, with average carbonation, an alright feel, and a slightly off finish
This beer will now mark the start to the weekend for me, and thank goodness, because for a short week, this was a long week. Anyway, this beer was alright, but it wasn’t particularly good.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Amber in color with good head retention. Aromas are honey and sweet malt. Taste shows the sweet malt again with a very light fruit note; I have a hard time defining. The finish as a strange artificial sweetener taste. I really liked the beer the first few sips. However, the bizarre artificial sweet taste really turn me off as I continued to drink it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Pours with a crystal clear amber hued body with a large tan head. Aromas are spicy, sweet cherries, pits, plums, estery. Mild phenolic character. Lightly bready malt. Tons of bright fruit esters for a BdG. Flavors are sweet, musty, cherry, cotton candy, lots of esters and sweet overall. Medium carbonation. Medium complexity. Misses the mark for me personally.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to a duvel tulip. Pours a clear copper amber with 2 fingers of frothy off white head and decent lacing. Aroma is of caramel, bread, almond, cherries, and faint pine. Taste is very nutty up front. It gives way to vanilla, caramel, toffee, and more breadiness. Thin mouthfeel and easy to drink. Pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The pour is amber in color with a finger of khaki head. Very sweet on the nose. Lots of toffee, caramel, and brown sugar. Somewhat toasty, light vanilla notes, lots of spice, and a moderate fruitiness (mostly stone fruits). The flavor is also on the sweet side. Banana, peach, and a touch of golden raisin. Light spiciness along with a strong toasted bread and sugar character. A touch of caramel and toffee, and a very light floral hoppiness.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed on tap at Novare Res. Cloudy peach appearance, with lots of foaming head, and good lace. Malty aroma. Decent and drinkable biere de Garde, though not my favourite in the style. Some fruit: orange and pineapple. Appropriate carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 Bottle; Pour is fairly clear dark copper with a mild off white head in this glass; copper, nuttiness, spices, bread on the nose. This beer is shit for the style - more nuttiness, breads, light fruits, spices, with a terrible finish. As she said : "it tastes like fish" No.. it doesn’t really taste like fish - but the point is that it doesn’t taste great. Anyway - nice packaging, nice story, and another meh offering from the two brothers.
