330ml bottle labeled as Birra Friulana at 5%ABV pours a pale straw color with a small white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Aromas are light cereal grains and mild grassy hops. Taste is unimpressive with light malty sweetness and mild hop bitterness. An easy drinking beer that would go down good on a hot summers day.

Dec 2009: Imported into the UK as ’Castello Premium’ with Birra Friulana also on the front label. Green 33cl bottle, poured into a Veltins Pilsner stemmed glass. Looks like a typical mass produced lager, golden, clear and with a pure white head on top. Grass, hay and nothing beery in the aroma. This is my first review this evening, I’m getting rid of a few oddments, I hope the others improve on this. A tasteless, featureless, nothingness of a beer. Why do they export such dross to cold countries like the UK? If I was sweating my nuts off on an Italian beach surrounded by half naked females then I’d have enjoyed this. Trouble is, it’s minus 7 outside and the wife is out. This is one cheap lager and there is nothing ’premium’ about it what so ever.

ElDesmadre (472) - Mikołów, POLAND - APR 22, 2012
330ml bottle. Straw-yellow with a nice, frothy head. Faint aroma of malt and little hops. Watery, little or no bitterness, no sweetness. Not offensive, just bland, lifeless and boring.

rangerred (336) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - MAR 16, 2012
330ml bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear gold with a thin fizzy head that quickly disappears. Smells of metal and stale cabbage. A tiny bit of bready gran. Flavor is cooked vegetables and creamed corn. Slightly metallic also. Some faint grassy hops are present but everything fades away to a watery mess rather quickly. Mouthfeel is slick but really watery. Overall this was a really disappointing beer. Very watery and just tasted stale.

Can on Alitalia out of Rome. Light nose with some grassy hops. Light malt flavor, a bit of corn, but pretty decent hopping make it a bit of a surprise for an industrial lager. Light and clean. Refreshing.

Bottle. Label shows 5% ABV. Translucent gold with a fading white head. Leaves spotty foam on the glass. Aroma is slightly skunky but is generally grassy and Euro hops with toasted malt, light corny notes and soft citrus. Taste is grainy, slightly corny, toasted malts, light metallic notes, and sweet with light lemon and fruit notes. Body is light-medium with a moderate, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more corn, toasted malt, cereal grains, grassy hops, and seltzer water.

Bottle. Solid pale lager. Nothing offensive about it. Nothing great about it, either.

Scrapersnbeer (451) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Pale gold color with medium carbonation. Doughy, corny aroma. Sweet lager flavor with mild bitterness. Kind of flat, but may be an older bottle. Distributed by Las Vegas Beverages as Castello Premium Beer in a green bottle, it was a little tricky when it came to identification. Listed as 5% abv.
