Small brown bottle. Copper body with a minimal head. Light toast and nuttiness in the aroma. Taste is too watery for a Dunkler Bock. This is similar to something that you’d get when you added water to a real Dunkler Bock. It’s a toasty Vienna at best. However, it would probably be a nice find in a random Italian store that otherwise sells only pale lagers.

Ciekawa barwa, piwo przejrzyste, piana niska. Nasycenie średnie. W smaku nic specjalnego, stosunkowo mocna goryczka trochę ratuje piwo.

Bottle shared by Inoven. Clear dark amber to red-brown color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, a hint of chestnut, slightly brown candy sugar. Average body and carbonation.

Ruby brown colour. White medium head. Sweet, caramelly, somehow metallic, bit malty aroma. Caramelly beginning. Sweetness with hints of malts in the middle. Quite sweet end. Rather light bodied, medium carbonated, very sweet beer with not very interesting palate. If you have only Saku beer in the menu, then one should order second bottle, but otherwise not a very impressive beer.

Dolciastra e metallica, inizialmente sembra una bock industriale passabile, ma si fa fatica ad arrivare in fondo.

"Red" beers seem to be quite popular in Italy and this one is pretty typical. Amber pour with a thin head. Caramel malt with a bit of sweetness. Not much else.

Sensazioni finali soddisfatte.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Baked bread in aroma and a little bit of diacetyl. Light amber, transparent color. Foam quickly disappears, almost no lacing. Average carbonation. In taste there is baked bread and caramel behind. Rather sweet. Average bitterness and quite long bready palate.

Enjoyed this in Sicily, this "red lager" is an amber bock-ish lager that features an interesting hazelnut and fruit accent to an otherwise average caramel malt flavor profile. Appearance accordingly is a red-amber color. Aroma is mostly caramel malt, not much hoppiness on the nose or in the taste, again almost a hazelnut/chocolate caramel maltiness. Slight tinge of booze and of industrialism, but not an issue. Overall, a unique and affordable lager beer that packs both a solid ABV and a solid flavor, recommended.
