Small brown bottle. Copper body with a minimal head. Light toast and nuttiness in the aroma. Taste is too watery for a Dunkler Bock. This is similar to something that you’d get when you added water to a real Dunkler Bock. It’s a toasty Vienna at best. However, it would probably be a nice find in a random Italian store that otherwise sells only pale lagers.

Bottle; unfortunately I bought this from a street vendor in Venice and did not get a cup or glass and had to drink out of the bottle; aroma is malty; taste is somewhat sweet with malt and some caramel; finish was bitter; if I try again in a glass I will update my rating.

Bottiglia, colore ambrato con una schiuma poco persistente, aroma di malto e zucchero, il sapore è molto semplice e amaro, corpo medio e leggera carbonazione.

This beer has no redeeming qualities. An average colour- red with a thick white head. No aroma to speak of- smell the alcohol though. Tastes like alcohol. Reasonably well carbonated with a watery mouth. Never again.

Spina @ aperimustache. Rossa con schiuma persistente. Anonima e fastidiosa a trati. Male

Aroma quasi inesistente. Solo un flebilissimo sentore caramellato and that’s it. Schiuma abbondante ma poco compatta e poco persistente, colore ambra assolutamente cristallino. Gusto dolce, delicato e rotondo al palato. In definitiva non è poi così male. Almost non-existent aroma. Just a very feeble caramel hint and that’s it. Generous head but not compact and not persistent. Absolutely crystal clear amber color. Sweet taste, delicate and round on the palate. Ultimately it’s not so bad.

Bottled 330ml from Tallinn. Deep clear amber color, quickly vanishing head. Grainy, a bit burnt sugar in the nose. Medium-bodied. Harsh grainy, malty with caramel and alcohol. A bit similar to Baltic dark/amber lagers.

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Amber color. Sweet bready, raisiny and resiny malt aroma. Sweet bready, caramelly and resiny flavor with toffee, raisins and tart alcohol. Medium body.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2013 Bottle. Nose of black sugar, roasted malt. Dark brick red, foamy head. Low carbonation. Smooth drinking. Wasn’t expecting much from this but was really pleasantly surprised. Good balance of sweetness and sourness. Not huge flavours, but robust and solid. Alcohol well hidden. Liked it a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
