COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long ago when cliffs were called castles and between them was a reef that meant danger, is a pale ale with great hop flavor and target gravity of 6%, making it dangerously good and a true Castle Danger Ale.

Nice malty beer with some hop fruitiness. Nice to drink by a camp fire on the North Shore. Definitely enjoyed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper amber color, darker than most APA. Pretty decent, easy drinking enough. Slightly hoppy mostly malty.

1-1/2 inch cream head from an aggressive pour; 1/2 inch for a gentle pour. Amber, slightly hazy, color with moderate carbonation. Very nice citrusy aroma. Head fades moderately quickly, leaving patchy lacing. Initial taste is very much malt-forward, with just a hint of hop bitterness. Hops present themselves quickly, though. The citrus aroma and hops bitterness mixes well with the malt bready taste for a well-balanced overall taste/aroma. Great, thick mouth feel, enhanced by the carbonation. No booziness apparent. This is an easy drinking beer despite for the relatively high ABV. IOW, you could easily knock back 3 or 4 of these quickly and end up really drunk if you are not aware of the alcohol content. Overall, this is a very good, well balanced ale with a substantial malt backbone.

12oz can shared. Second beer from this brewery and it’s not all that good. Pours a medium copper with minimal white head. Aroma is a tinny malt scent. Don’t know if it’s old or not. Flavor is almost medicinal malt. Terrible

Draft. Dark copper with small creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma of toasted malt and some grain. Light/medium body, medium citrus hop bitterness, hint of banana notes, caramel, and dry finish. Not very strong for a strong ale but not bad either.

On tap at 7 West Taphouse - Duluth, MN. Warm aroma, lightly spicy and grainy. Sweet, bitter, and astringent. Husky and hot. Can’t get into this. There’s a coarse, grating roughness to the brew that really dilutes drinkability.

Had this at the All Pints North festival in Duluth, MN. Had a wet paper towel scent, with a little skunky hop taste.
