Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich (JDW) 29/10/2003 Golden coloured with some alcohol. Hoppy and smooth on the palate with a slightly bitter malt finish.

First tasted this in the Waterside Inn, Seamill in July 1994. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thick white foam head. Strong floral hops in the dusty lingering aroma. Resiny mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malts deliver a robust digestive biscuit base with tart gooseberry and kiwi fruit. Dusty hop resins strong and redolant in the long aftertaste. Finish becomes increasingly dry and zesty with grapefruit peel evident. Tastes more like a strong IPA and one to look out for if you like that style. Well recommended.

Draughtflow can, lots of carbonation, swetter and lighter than an avergae English IPA. Probbably tastes better bottled
