330ml bottle from Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 3 on 2 December 2010. Gyle 53. No best before date. Bright amber colour. Loose head. Good condition. Some toffee notes. Not too much alcohol. Very drinkable for the strength.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, fruity - berry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101202]

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty fruity bitter flavor with hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty bitter caramel finish.

Bottle Conditioned. Amber, red brown with a small head. Aromas are stewed apple and pear with caramel malts. Some woody and floral notes with spiced oranges and cream. Flavours are sweet earthy pear with green apple. Yeasty and quite tart with an oaky, dry finish. OK but not very complex.
