Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2007 Bottled. Pale golden, clear. Thing head with high bobble content. Weak nose, a little wheat or hay. Sweet initial flavor that fades to standard lager tones. jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 27, 2007 From my notes 6/12/07 pours a three-finger white head that quickly goes to a thin layer, leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Skunky nose. Light carbonation and light bodied. Flavor has occasional sweetness mostly bitter, dry finish with some bitterness. S.Fr. 3.30 ($2.68) for a 330ml bottle from Drinks of the World Lucerne, Switzerland. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 27, 2007 Found this one bottled at the Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Pretty average lager, inoffensive but unmemorable. Medium yellow, clear and bubbly pour, a medium, fluffy white head, nose of sour apple and a bit of flowers, taste is balanced with some lemongrass dryness, finishes watery. For $10/6, you could do much better for much cheaper. zxxzooz (13), Berkeley, California, USA Jun 25, 2007 This is an easy drinking beer, with a slightly tart taste and metallic/chemical aftertaste. It’s good on a hot day when you’re parched, but when drunk in quantity it gets a little nasty. yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jun 5, 2007 Bottle. Pale golden beer with a fizzy white head. Aroma is pale malt and grassy hops. Flavor is the same, pale malts and a decent amount of hops for a pale lager. A lot of carbonation, crisp and refreshing in the Florida heat. Its nothing you could call great but its drinkable and the flavor is not bad. Better than the average lawnmower beer or macro. wilderthanyou (411), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jun 2, 2007 Maybe its the fact that it is HOT AS HELL in my room right now, but for a mass produced Pale Lager, i’m pretty damn happy with this beer. Pilsner golden with thin white fizzy film. The aroma and flavour remind me of the house draught beer at Cooks in Cape Cod, not sure what it is.
The aroma is very fruity but there is something a little off I find. The flavour starts out malty sweet, with a hoppy finish with a hint of something I can’t quite pin, tastes like lemon grass smells, a fresh citrusy sort of flavour. Overall a very refreshing beer with good drinkability conor23 (110), Elgin, Illinois, USA May 28, 2007 Aroma hunts at something that just isn’t there in the taste. Very watery with a little hops flavor. Not terrible tasting, but nothing too exciting. Very bland. bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA May 21, 2007 Clean grassy aroma. Brassy gold color with a white head that persevered. Smooth, full bodied, effervescent carbonation, decent light malt, and a hop finish that’s decent. Better than most USA mass produced watery products. Much better.
