What a boer this beer is. Too sweet for my liking, there is nothing really good to say about it - this may be OK to feed springboks, elephants and Mandelas, but not good enough for me, I’m afraid! RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Feb 21, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma: For a pale lager, there is a bit of malt sweetness coming through. Not much, but some. Light corn, too. Appearance: Pale straw in color and very clear. Bright white head was full and foamy with good retention. No lacing. Flavor: Again, a surprising sweetness for a pale lager. Corn, carbon dioxide, and not much else. Palate: Light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Some flavor actually snuck through. Not much, though. Boring. oh6gdx (8801), Vasa, Finland Feb 18, 2007 Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Malts and slight hops in aroma. Flavour is sweetish malts along with hoppyness. Some metal in the flavour also, especially when it gets warmer the erraneous flavours are there. Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium Feb 7, 2007 Golden coloured beer with a nice head. Refreshing aroma, the flavour isn’t bad, maybe a bit sweet for me. Overall not a bad lager. (Bottle 34cl) Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Feb 1, 2007 The head is nice, but quickly disappearing on this South African. The color is straw and the aroma is almost neutral. The flavour is at first lightly sweet with floral notes and the finish has almost no bitterness, but is a bit dry. An adequate thirst quencher - easily forgotten... slimchill (773), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 22, 2007 completely clear, could be water. light white head. palate and flavor are weak and extremely watery. almost as bad as anything i’ve ever had. paco (204), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada Dec 2, 2006 Golden yellow, thin white head. lots of carbonation. Floral aroma with hints of corn. Overcarbonated metallic taste. slightly bitter. malty undertones. better than most mass produced lagers. Frits (3), Big Bay, South Africa does not count Nov 22, 2006 Metalic taste, sharp and bitter. Hops taste very faint. Beer looks better than it tastes. Weak aroma of corn.
