RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2005 Sampled at the Palmer Place Bier Garten in LaGrange, IL. Typical low quality macro lager that you can buy anywhere with all the faults the others have...but I needed to add a country to my list. DevinGreg (1), USA does not count Sep 2, 2005 I had it once and i will never have any other beer again. I import it from South Africa it is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA Aug 28, 2005 Bottle from Matta, a continuation of the internationalpalelagerfest. The color is exemplary of the style, clear, pale, yellow. Slight head formation occurs and fades quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma is interestingly tinny and at the same time disturbingly sweet and fruity. Light bodied, thin across the palate. Sweet and fruity with just a hint of hop balance. Watery Koolaid with about 10 IBU’s worth of hop additions. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 27, 2005 Updated: Aug 28, 2005Can (500ml). Poured very pale faintly greenish yellow, big foamy white head, ugly lacing. Aroma of scorched straw, harsh sweet corn malt, almost medicinal. Metallic flavour, with sweet (fake honey) mild malt, hay, grass, corn on the cob, harsh sickly sweet linger. Mouthfeel is watery and metallic. Typical S.I.L, worse than many - avoid unless you want to add South Africa to your countries sampled (like me). JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Aug 24, 2005 Bottle. Pale gold colour with a large white head. Sweet corny smell. Taste is metallic corn. Light bitter finish. Disagreeable stuff. ryananderson (74), Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2005 450ml can. Light hop aroma. Nothing special to say about the appearance: mostly diminishing white head, yellow colour, little lacing. Tastes like corn, slightly bitter. Light to medium body with a slightly dry finish and some alcohol present. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Aug 18, 2005 Updated: Jan 10, 2007Got a can purchased for me by a friend that was in Kenya, thanks Jim. Light gold body with lots of carbonating bubbles. The aroma is corny with some dirt and celery. The taste is light corn with lighter fluid. There is also a dirty potato note. Strange combination for any lager. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Aug 15, 2005 Bottle. Poured a white small sized head that mostly diminished, sparse lacing, fine-large sized bubbles, carbonated, transparent, and a yellow hue. Aroma was malty as was the flavor. Boring. Tingly mouthfeel. Light body.
