Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany May 9, 2005 Pretty lousy, I drank it, but its comparable to a cheap American Pale lager, just like Jupiler, its a beer I’ve wanted to try for years, but it was bad.. lots of corn goodness. pootzboy (1037), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada May 7, 2005 Poured a pale gold...smallish white cap the dissipates quickly. Lottsa gas in this baby! Nose: well there is none to speak of...light smell of wet paste board like the near-beers. Took a gulp and got a big mouthfull of reeking corn water.....that’s all....sink pour for the rest of this ...how do you say "hog faeces" in South African? Sorry for the abruptmess but it sickens me garbage like this gets shelf space in the Ontario liquor monoply but Ayinger can’t be imported...friggin unholy it is!!!! God drinks good lager...and he’s pissed off at crap like this. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA May 3, 2005 Pours a very clear gold with a half-inch white head. Vaguely chalky malt aroma. Taste is a medicinal malt with a chalky bitterness and a very astringent mouthfeel. I did not care for this beer at all ... it’s like a weak domestic lager with a spoonful of Theraflu in it. Worthy of a drain pour, which is exactly what it received. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA May 2, 2005 Bottled 10.14.04. Pours gold with a tiny white head. Apples and sweet malt dominate the aroma. Hoppy start with a mellow bread flavor. Light and fizzy palate, and somewhat spicy. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark Apr 24, 2005 A classic discount lager. Quite metallic and artificial. No bitternes. Quite boring and watery. No head. thevulcan (16), England Apr 20, 2005 Bottle. Minimal white head which disappated quickly. I rarely drink lager, however this wasn’t as bad as other lagers I’ve tried. It also came with a cute reindeer hat! NosirIwont (1162), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Apr 14, 2005 Can. Quite pale, yellow colour with a white head. Sweetish aroma with cereals. Flavour is equally sweetish with cereals. A bit dry and metallic. Some bitterness. Milky notes as it warms. jonsiii (157), Fredericia, Denmark Apr 6, 2005 33 cl can@home. Not much to say. It’s a standard lager. Next time i’ll buy a cheaper beer and get the same impression.
