Pleasing to drink only when you are at a sporting event, on tap, not out of a can. Golden and very bloating. Burner (78), Cape Town, South Africa

There are two places I will ever drink this lager.
1. At the springbok pub, next door to the SA Brewrery in Newlands
2. At newlands cricket ground watching the Proteas beat England or New Zealand.
The new bottle now reads that there are no longer any preservatives in it, I however have my doubts.
A very mildly malty beer, with little flavour, other than the usual stale beer taste of most mass produced lagers. It is however very refreshing on a hot day drunk under the african sun ICE ICE cold! JadoreBlanche (114), London, Ontario, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 24, 2004 Can: Pours a clear pale yellow body with minimal head...looks like an average beer. Smells sweet but can smell tin as well. Tatses of slight hops and can definatley taste the can. Leaves corn aftertaste, and slight bitterness. Just Average! | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 24, 2004 Canned - 450ml. Nice golden body, but head is thin and fades within 30 seconds. Weak malty aroma with light bready and herbal hints. Taste is watery and typical of boring lagers. Finish is short and moderately bitter. The only interest with that beer is logging my first south-african beer on the site. beerguy101 (3869), Newark, California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 8, 2004 Light gold color. Medium sized fuzzy white head. Aroma is malty and grainy, strong corn aroma. FIZZY YELLOW BEER ALERT. Medium bodied pale lager. Malts are fruity and sweet, a touch grainy and corn of course. Fairly typical pale lager, a touch watery, cornish and sweet. Bland and artificial. A fizzy yellow beer, ‘nuff said? Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a touch cardboard-ish. Stew41 (1050), Caulfield, Australia

Orthodox nose, semlls liek a million others. Nice mouthfeel, good fizz level and good length. Clean and refreshng if unexciting. Mullo (102), Brisbane, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 22, 2004 A light flavoured lager which is easy to drink, as in not challenging. Very sweet, and had a particular, yet small, hop flavour about it - Saaz perhaps? Nagash (202), Paris, France
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 9, 2004 Tanzanian beer. Not so bad for a classic lager. Some malt. Light finish. To be drunk in africa, not realy worst elsewhere.
