A nice golden colour, no real head to speak of. Just an average lager, a bit blunt and unfinished. cheers

Clear bright gold w/ foamy white head. Grainy, corny, lightly grassy aroma. Sugary feel. Bland flavour of grain, corn, & carbonated bitterness.

Just another mainstream lager beer that could easily be VB or Tooheys. only problem is that it is South African, which is reason enough to stay away from it.

Has an initially skunky aroma upon opening but mellows a bit to a not unpleasant wort-like concoction. No head whatsoever - light golden, almost see through appearance which turns cloudy after a while. The flavor and grainy texture remind me somewhat of some slavic lagers I have had. Has a sort of dusty, wort-like unfinished flavor to it. A bit of sweetness seeps through to redeem it after a while though. Has a metallic mouthfeel - finished poorly.

Can. Slight floral aroma, maybe corn, and finish, but sort of bland overall. Tiny head.

Bottle. Yellow color with a small head. The first beer I tried in Tanzania and definitely the worst (although they didn't get much better). Try Safari, Kilimanjaro , or Tusker. That will give you a decent sampling of east african beers.

Had from bottle on July 10th, 2003 - Day 10 of Blake's Beer Month™
I unfortunately missed having a beer yesterday due to a particularly hectic schedule and today I wasn't really in the mood for anything too heavy, so I thought I'd grab this lager. I poured it into a glass, noticed almost no aroma, and sat down to watch some baseball with my lunch. While the lunch was good, the beer was not - the aroma is quite weak with a slight hint of malt. The head is almost invisible and the coloring is bright yellow with a fair amount of carbonation. The taste is kinda skunky with a bit of hops, but not much at all...a little more in the flavor than the aroma, but not much. Pass.

bland aroma, light amber hue with small white head, malt character with hop undertones, this is refreshing and fairly tasty compared to most ordinary lagers, there are none of those horrible chemical notes to pollute it, this was much better than expected but it is still only a lager and so it can never be a great brew
