Malty sweet aroma, little bitter on first taste less sweet then your typical North American lager. All in all just a lager nothing special was good with my burger.

Golden shiny body and flimsy head. Grainy, white sugar. Ugh. Way too heavy carbonation. Bad and too sweet. And expensive. (Bottle at My Food Sud Africain during the 1FRBG)

Bottle 33cl @MyFood Montreuil shared by Erikok. A sweet lager, typical poor lager notes, corn sugar notes, almost no hops, very boring.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2014 clear golden-yellow with an average white head. Averagely malty with corn and cereal aroma and a light hops and bitter finish. Quite fizzy and watery but quite a good balance between sweet and bitter.

Can. One of the plainest, most unassuming lagers. Aromas of light malt with a touch of corn. More corn in the flavour, with a touch of hops. Light bodied. Pretty smooth and easy to drink, and nothing offensive here. Just really boring.

Lager from another mogger. Light, refreshing corny bullshit beer. Good for pounding multiple and then playing some footy. A thin and watery concoction only suitable for the hottest of days. A sweet sodey-pop of a beer.

A mass produced mix of god knows what, toxins? There’s corn (maize) here, which I personally think should disqualify it from the title beer. When you’re in South Africa, you often won’t find anything else (if you do find the excellent Castle Milk Stout, you should drink that). I always try to avoid this, and go for the far superior, reinheitsgebot brewed Windhoek lager or draft from Südwest (Namibia). This stuff will rot your brain. I have never had such severe hangover headaches after drinking beer as I had with this. From Castle I would recommend that you drink Hansa instead, if possible.
