Nov 2, 2006 Ohh how I wish my first South African rating could be Castle Stout. The aroma is sharp metallic, grassy, and greasy stale bread. The body is a pale gold and holds a slowly diminishing thumb thick white head that is frothy and firm...not bubbly. Looks good in a pilsner glass. Fore is ever so slightly toasty grains, sweet corn-like notes with a dry barley aftertaste. and ever so faint corn-like sweetness in the far finish.

Sep 14, 2008 (bottle - 340 ml) Clear yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma is very grassy and hoppy with some good dry notes and a bit of sweetness to it. Flavor is sweet at the start with some notes of dry grass, hops, metallic hints, and some sweetness again at the end. Watery but refreshing.

May 25, 2003 Golden colour, no head. Tastes kinda funky. low hops. taste is somewhat dissatisfying, something is a little off. It's one of those beers I just wanted to try, but most likely will never buy again.

Jul 22, 2007 Bottle, courtesy after4ever. This is a very pale lager. Light aroma of nuts and flowery hops. Taste is flowery as well, otherwise, pretty much your run of the mill, adjuncted pale lager.
