3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black with dark brown cover and not bad lacing. Aroma has a considerable amount of diacetyl butterscotch plus chocolate and sweet toffee malt. The sweetness doesn’t end at the aroma, but it’s not overpowering in the flavour which also contains obvious contributions from chocolate malt and some nondescript fruit notes. Very low bitterness. Medium body and smooth from sweetness with a clean finish. Nice.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Strong butterscotch diacetyl in the sweet, lactic aroma that only hints at roasted malts. Opaque, dark brown body with amber-brown highlights is topped by a decent tan head that recedes to cover with some nice lacing. Sweet, milky flavour has light vegetal tones and only a hint of roastiness in the finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation and smooth texture. Bottle sampled with asheft and Pitpit at the MontreAlers April meeting.

Bottled: Red brown coloured. Fluffy brown head. Has some of the dark notes in the aroma. Malty, sweets and chocolate present. Flavour is light sweet and malty. Vague chocolate notes. Is somewhat artificial. Is dry and bitter in the end.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A pitch black beer with a small brown head. The aroma is weird, sour, but sweet with notes of caramel and chocolate, but also some spice I can’t put a name on. The flavor is of milk and chocolate and the mouthfeel is quite dry.

Dark color with a off white head. The taste is sweet with light chocolate notes. Smooth mouthfeel but rather thin and boring.

Stout beer, black in color, good head, VERY good aroma. Glides down your throat like guinness, but is very differnt taste wise. Despite all the good things about this beer, i would never buy one again. Horrible aftertaste, and lingering stench if you get it on your hands.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Suprisingly good stout from the stable of SAB. Looks like Guinness, but very different to Irish Stout.
Very sweet, and unrefined, but a good thirst quencher. A sour after taste with very subtle mochachino flavour! A fairly creamy beer, which when chilled glides down the throat!
Again the only stout brewed locally!

(Jul 04) Light flowery hop aroma, with roasted malt notes of coffee and chocolate. Creamy, light brown head above a black liquor. Body is light, thin and creamy, only lightly sweet and slightly bitter in the short finish.
