COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Choice barley grain is slow roasted to produce a rich dark brew. A unique blend of hops adds a touch of bitterness and a special yeast fixes the unmistakable flavor and creamy head.
Also comes in a license brewed version by Tanzania Breweries, Pabod Breweries in Nigeria and in Vietnam by SAB’s subsidiary in Da Nang.

Aroma: Dry cocoa initially, but later I get toffee as well Appearance: Very dark red/brown, appearing black. Light brown, thin frothy head with a bit of lacing. Taste: Sweet roasted grain, cocoa, bitterness/astringent, caramel, medium-light bitterness, some pear, Palate: medium-full body, fine/soft carbonation, Overall: An enjoyable stout. The stigma linked with the beer is bad, but that has never stopped me before! I have enjoyed this in large quantities. 340 ml bottle, poured.

Bottle, can, and draught. This is my go to macro brew in Africa. Its pretty universally available and it goes down silky smooth.

Poured an opaque black colour. No head, no lacing. Very low carbonation. Aroma of roasted grains plus subtle coffee. Taste initially quite sweet then followed by roasted grain bitterness on back of tongue. Light body, much lighter than other stouts. Short, sweet, smooth finish.
