Cask (Market Porter, London) - Very dark brown with red tinges. Roasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Roasted coffee taste with malt and plain chocolate. Smooth and tasty.

cask at the Magpie & Crown, Brentford. Pours a black brown with a clingy white medium head. Nose has lots of milk choc, hints of roast coffee and biscuit. Rich porter flavour with more choc but now the coffee coming to the fore, along with a roasted bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter and choc but dry. A very nice occasional porter.

Cask conditioned - handpump Canal House Nottingham A nearly black coloured beer with a tight thick white head. A roasty aroma with plenty of coffee notes. The mouthfeel is creamy which I put down to the sparkler, but there’s plenty of roasted coffee as well. Nice enough.
